They called and said I won a pearl white mercadies and 2.5 million dollars for paying my taxes...but for me to claim..I needed to send 499.99 to a Piffany Wallace...to be picked up from the same wallmart I sent from...

Michael James called claiming to be from publishers clearance house stating I won 2.5 mil and a car. Just needed a $299.99 tax receipt

I just got a call from some guy with a lisp - he sounded American, telling  me I won a new Benz and $2.5M. Perhaps my constant chuckling and asking him to repeat himself got him a bit riled up. B/c when I asked if he was serious he said in an angry sounding voice; "this is not some joke - this is a legitimate company!" When I asked him to repeat something he said shortly after, he hung up.

I was pursued by the caller to leave my house and go to Wal-Mart to get a Government Registration Receipt. And that the registration or something would be $299. I'll admit I did make it to the car, but it just seemed to good to be true. I googled and saw this and I hung the HELL UP!!!!

SCAMMER! Caller stated he was with Publisher Clearing House and I had won $1.9 and a Benz with choice of three colors.  He also said this is legitimate and I need to take it seriously. Gave me his name as David Green; Mary Johnson was handling the delivery; and the driver would be Frank Morgan. Provided a tracking number: 2328986157; his badge number 4462DG01; and the car tag number 5748CA. He thought I lived in Cedar Rapids IA, which I did about 3 years ago. Said he wanted by name and address to deliver to. When I asked why he didn't have that he said my phone number was selected at random, which is probably the only truthful statement he made.
