- Frosty| 1 replyThis is another number that Mr. James called us from a lot. Do not believe his even if he says he's from Publishers Clearing House and/or UPS
- Caller: Publishers Clearing House and UPS
- Indiana Jones| 2 repliesAn Edward Chambers called on this number, claiming Publishers Clearing House winnings of $90,000 and a new car. They wanted me to wire money to "insure" my prize check, which was to be delivered in less than 2 hours. The insurance was about $400, plus taxes of another $900.
After letting him run on about 20 minutes I explained how I knew it was a scam. I said, "You're good". He replied, "Yes I am, but you are better, apparently". He hung up. He also claimed to be in Nevada, representing the Nevada Gaming Commission.- Caller: Publishers Clearing House

- Star Tolley replies to Indiana Jones| 1 replyMy boyfriend received a call from this number on Thursday stating the was to receive $90,000 and a 30" Flat Screen tv was being delivered that day by UPS. He already had our address. I don't know all of the details of the call, but I did call the number back on Saturday. The man called me back I asked his name and told him to never call the number again. We are aware of his scam using PCH name and a free item. I just wanted to add his name is Robert Little. He thought I was calling about a job. Ha. Guess he's not too smart, huh?

- Richard replies to Star TolleyGot the exact same call from "Robert Little" yesterday and today from the same number (a Jamaican number). He was persistent in leaving messages. I called back. He started the scam about delivering PCH money AND a TV from Reader's Digest, insisting he was from UPS, even after I challenged that 3 times. I said, "Well, just deliver the stuff!" He said, "You're never there!" I asked, "What address did you deliver it to?" "Your office address." "Tell me the EXACT address you tried to deliver the stuff." He got beligerent. "To YOUR address." I said, "I'll only ask one more time, then I'll hang up. What was the EXACT address..." I got that far and HE hung up on me.
Today is July 16, 2009. For those of you who had this scam a month or more ago, after you called their bluff, did you hear anything further from them, or was there ever any attempt to hack your personal accounts or info? Or was that the end of it?
P.S. I immediately reported it to UPS. They turned the info over to their security department. Don't know whether or not they'll try to do anything. - CC replies to FrostyGot a call from Miss Mary about the same thing. Has anyone had any problems occur with their credit?
