I have been receiving calls from Jamaica claiming I have one some sort of money.  However, I can't understand the man.  I have told him I am not interested and not to call me.  He has gotten very angry and calls me back asking why I have hung up on him.  I let it go.  Then 3 days later he called back.  This time I tried to ask how I won the prize and from where.  It was called Global something and I kept getting cut off and he would be mad when he called back saying I hung uo on him.  I was getting fed up and had my husband answer.  He hung up on him the first time. Then he finally spoke and my husband told him i wasn't coming to the phone.  He became very iriate and told my husband he needed to talk to me because he  was the FBI.  This is crap and harassemnet.  The number is 876-364-2040.  I am very upset and want a stop to this.

You got scammed as soon as you called. The 876 exchange is not an 800 toll free number. It is going to show up on your phone bill

Unfortunatly there is no one to report these crooked, low life, scum sucking, scam artist to. The FBI, Attorney Generals Office, Local Police etc. We have tried to work with every federal agency available when a family member was scammed out of hundreds of thousands of dollars by scam artists from Jamaica and all we were told it is not a priority because of the amount and jurisdiction. The state and local police cannot do anything because the scam artists are in Jamaica and out of the country.
You can contact the Jamaican authorities, but you will have to go to Jamaica to fill charges and appear in court and testify.

This is why these scam artists use countries like Jamaica to work out of. They know nothing will happen to them while they take advantage of our citizens.

Bottom line is, any call comming in from an 876 area code is from Jamaica and most likely all they want to do is con you out of your hard earned money. Don't Let Them Fight Back.

My stepfather is a retired navy officer and recently was scammed out of a large sum of money by these "artist" (much too nice of a word for these people) we have taken to answering his phone for him and screening his calls but are unable to be with him at all times.  I am following this up with a letter writing campaign to my local state and federal government representatives. With technologies at the level they are now, thanks to 911, it should be a effortless task for our government to locate precisely where these calls are originating from and to provide local law enforcement agencies with all the proof necessary to prosecute

    Momma"s Been Scamed
Here we have these names...Mr. Cooper, Mr. Reynolds, Polo Boulevard, Mr. Jaquine, Mr. Merales, Mr. Washington, Christina,Arnell Green. These are the names that my mother would give.  There are many more.  The calls have been coming since April 2008 every 5 minutes all day and night.  Everytime that we get rid of one of them another calls back in exactly 5 minutes.  They use words like.."LISTEN UP"  "YOU WILL GO TO YOUR BANK IN  MINUTES"  "SEND ME THE MONEY BY WESTERN UNION"  One guy called himself John.  Their accent is so strong uou can hardly understand them.  I think that they are all the same person.  Sometimes they forget what name they gave to you.  They want the WESTERN UNION sent to KINGFISH, JAMACA.  They say their main ofice is in LAS VEGAS OR SOUTH FLORIDA.  I can't find these places, that alone should say something.  Some of these people don't know their company and others say "GLOBAL INTERNATIONAL, GLOBAL ENTERPRIZES" LAS VEGAS. 876 375 6780 is Mr. Green's number.  None of these people are together on what the "PRIZE" amount is.  My phone os off the hook 24/7 unless I am making a call.  Mr. Reynolds 876 566 0681.  Christine 954 703 5810.  Unknown, 876 375 6780  Mr. Cooper 876 586 0356, Unknown 973 482 3624, 762 409 6007.  Hope this helps.  She gave these idiots abt. $500.00.

I have been getting many calls for months and I always ask for them to please take me off their call lists but they are very insistent for me to
listen and they usually do not let me talk.  They want to deliver a package
to my address that day and I am suppose to send them money.  I have been told many different things that I will be getting in the package.  At one time they told me that I had won the grand prize from Publisher's Sweepstakes but I never applied!  Yesterday, I got a call from their office
in Las Vegas where I have a legal advisor lives and told them he will be at there office immediately!  But then they said the office was in Jamaica.  Today, I was told they will kill everything I know even my dog!  I just laughed at them and hung up!  One time I was told that in order for them to stop calling I will need to change me phone number!  I will try to make my connections to an Private Investigator to see what can I do.

By joining and reporting these crooks to the Fed. DNC list it will not stop these scam artists from out of the country calling you. There is no one or agency willing to go after them.

These crooks don't abide by any laws or rules of this country or any other countries, this is why they are committing these crimes from Jamaica and other countries that don't monitor there illegl activities.
There really is no way to stop these low lifes unless the Jamaican Government steps in and they won't do so unless you go to Jamaica and file charges against the con's. Who has the time and money to do so. Plus you have to know who they are.

The only way we stopped them from calling our family member was to change her phone number and put every private restriction on the number we could. We haven't had a call in approxamitly 1 year now from these con's. Talk to your phone company they can help set up about anything you may need to stop them.

These people scammed my grandmother out of $400.00. This was reported to the local police dept., which I am sure that nothing will be done. But what I would like everyone to know is that they insisted on my grandmother not to tell anyone in her family because we would steel her winnings. Please, if anyone has an elderly family member ask them if someone has contacted them regarding a sweepstakes or any other offer that needs them to send money to them. Maybe this will help other families out there before they get taken for much more.
