This number is calling my grandmother telling her that she has won 500,000 dollars. His name is " John green" and he told her he will be coming to her house in a few days to deliver the money. Please comment if this has happened to anyone else

I've never heard of it but it sounds questionable.

Does your grandmother live alone?  Does she still manage her own money?  If yes to both try to get her checkbook andr credit cards away from her for a few days.  Can you have a family member or trusted friend stay with her, be there when or if John Green shows up?

I strongly suspect John Green is trying to scam your grandmother.  I don't know the details but I suspect a scam.

nM - sounds like a later call will be for pre-payment by Western Union  or the Walmart, etc. cash card for taxes or some other nonsense..  There have been so many other numbers on 800 notes with a similar message.  It's usually something like they are coming with a Mercedes car and large amount of money (and even tell you police will accompany you to the bank).  It's Jamaica - the PHONY PCH  winner scam capital.  If she did not enter a contest, she can not win!!  Be careful!!  (I doubt anyone will show up but  do expect a call from them for prepayment of funds.)

Good advise though - watch the ladies checkbook or credit card.  MJ

Got a call at 6 am ontario time they said they were publishers clearing house I said bye and hung up.

I just got a call about 20 minutes ago from a john king. Says I won 355k and a chevy malibu. Theyre supposedly coming tomorrow lol

Yes this is 100% for sure a scam. If you question him long enough he will get mad and start swearing at you. If you get him really mad he starts yelling in a laungage I don't recognize. He will want you to go to wallmart and get a prepade cash card to pay "taxes" on your winnings. Don't do it. I've selected park call because scam isn't an option. This man will try to take your money.

Told her that she won 500,000 and needed to pay the taxes up front and was going to through in a free car too.

My wife just handed me the phone this idiot saying the normal crap, we are close to your city today (central alabama) you have been selected ,we have collected unclaimed merchandise and cash that you will be eligible for totaling 500,000 dollars blah blah, I stopped him and said sir take your scam call and stick it.(with a few more words throwed in) this crap pisses me off cause some poor trusting soul will eventually get taken and lose they're money. Pos!
