Suspected scam

876 is the area code for Jamaica. Confirmed scam.

Just got a call from"David Moore" about a Publishers Clearing House win. His #,876-458-1974. Told me to buy a Green Dot card to be able to accept my prize... B.S... Last thing he said to me was "F**k you" when I told him goodbye after keeping him on the line for 20 min.

Also received call from 876-524-6978 today. It was labeled as a cell phone from Jamaica.  Person did not leave a message. I live in Hawai'i and know no one in Jamaica, mon! Must be a scam.

I'm from Hawaii too, received a call from 876-524-6978- didn't answer it.

This person has called my home phone from the number 876-524-6978.  On my caller id the name was JM Kingston.  The man had an accent and  told me I had won $32 million and I needed to drive to a certain location to pick up the money.  Then I got a call on my cell phone today from 876-866-6132.  The man had an accent and asked me if I remembered him.  I told him he had the wrong number and hung up.  The second number was from Jamaica.

I guess by now you've figured out the first number was, too.  "JM Kingston" indeed.

876-524-6978- Just received a phone call from this guy saying he's from Publisher's Clearing House - felt like a potential scam.  I was told I had won $6.5 Million and a new Chrysler 300.  I was told to jot down 6 different confirmation numbers and a website - "green dot money pack scratch," buy a card, and everything would be delivered to my home address in an hour and a half.  From this post, I can tell, PCH has lots of money to give away this year ;)

This person is a scam artist. 876-524-6978. He should be arrested for impersonating a PCH employee. What a [***]!!!

Got a call on my cell from this number.  Fellow did not have an accent exactly, but spoke very slowly and deliberately pronounced every syllable.  Gave me the same BS about winning something from Publisher’s Clearing House.  He actually talked with me a few minutes.
I ask him why he was “talking so funny” and he explained that this was his “natural accent.”  I also ask where he had obtained my number and his, somewhat lengthy, reply was that it was obtained from my shopping at “a local convenience store, or using my phone to make on-line purchases.”   I never use my phone for on-line purchases and I always decline to give my phone number when asked to do so at a check out station.   What a scam.  Blocked the number.

Wow, good ol "John R Newman" was really mad when I let him talk to me for 20 minutes and then said (when he said he would call me back later once I figured out how to get to the Western Union) that he really should never call me back since there was a 0% chance I was ever going to wire him money. Said som really nasty things!

He is learning though, quoted bible verses to seem trustworthy, and promised it wasn't a scam, over and over!

Just got a call from John r Newman. Had me write out pch info. Said i won from a raffle in my county from purchases locally. Said that prize van 1 hour and half from my location and tracking me by my phone. Freaked me out. Asked me if I love my kids?  Told him this was weird and I wasn't sure about the integrity of this call. He hung up on me.

Called, Showed as 876-524-6978 on caller ID.  I did not answer call as I chose to have them leave a Voice Mail. No message left.
