A person calling himself "David Rogers" called my father, but I answered the phone posing as him.  Making a long story short, my 84 year old father won $250,000.  After I was put on hold while David called the IRS to get the "TAX" amount, I was instructed not to tell anyone, but to go to WalMart and send a Western Union Money Gram for $719.84 to "Coswell Reid" at "Kingston JA WI".  I gave him my cell number and told him the money would be sent within 45 minutes.  He called back, I told him I had spoken to the police, he said he was legit and registered with the BBB and to send the money.  I told him I was not my father and that this was a scam, he still insisted all was legit.  I continued to argue, but he hung up.  Called my local WalMart to warn them about the scam using them and they said they would call the other local WalMart's. Western Union was USELESS!!!!!!!!!

Had a similar call.  He claimed he was from Price Waterhouse and Readers digest
Taped part of the call.  He never got to the point of asking me to send money but he was getting there.

told me his name was michael brookes, and i had won 10,000 dollars. He asked me to come pick it up at western union, he also told me my e-mail, said he was legit, but when i asked him to send an e-mail, he didnt do it. He then called three more times prior to that.
