A nice man with a robotic voice called from Jamaica and told me he was a UPS driver and was just miles away with a package for me from the Publishers Clearing House. He asked if I recalled having sent in a sweepstakes entry a few years ago. I replied that I did indeed remember. When I asked him where he was so that I could give him directions to my home, he hung up. My next question was going to be whether he could hand the phone over to Ed McMahon so I could thank him personally for delivering my check.

The UPS man said that he had a package and wanted to confirm that I was home so he could deliver my package. He sounded a bit like a 80s B movie robot. He became upset and hung up when I laughed and ask about his voice modulation device.
