I got a phone call from the publishers sweepstakes lottery..A man named Michael Washington told me he won $955,000 and a black Mercedes.he told me I needed to go and get a green dot card for $305 and that would cover my share of 1%Michael Washington told me he Betty reid was going to contact me with my winnings..I told him I couldn't get any money out of my bank until tomorrow he said he would contact me at 9 o'clock tomorrow morning December 2

Things to believe:

• There ain't no such thing as a free lunch.
• If it sounds (or looks) too good to be true, it probably is.
• You have not won big bucks from a benign benefactor, a pot of pesos from PCH, dinero from a doctor, or a grant from a gracious government    <<<<<<<<<<<<<
• The tooth fairy really does not exist
• Everything you read on the internet is not necessarily true.
• It is illegal to ask for money for a loan or prize, before awarding the loan or prize!
• "Free Trips" are loaded with mandatory & costly extras, and you usually must give them your card number after listening to a loooong spiel at a hotel.
• Microsoft or one of their agents did NOT cold call you to fix your computer.
• The moon is not made of green cheese.
• The IRS will snailmail you, rather than phone you, if there is a problem.
• Jackalope milk is not an aphrodisiac.
• If you "green dot", MoneyGram or Western Union money to a scammer, the money is gone.
• You should beware of Greeks bearing gifts, specially if the gift is a wooden horse with termites.
• 876 is NOT your lucky number, and it will cost you money to call that area code!

got a call today from 876-388-8085 they called and used the name John Cooper and then they called back as Michael Washington with the cash prize office. They were threatening they said they would be at our house within an hour with 3 FBI agents because they said we won a large sum of money and a car. They kept calling my husbands work number. They said they were in Las Vegas. Scam! and very annoying

Received two calls this morning from 876-831-6836; I have attached a transcript of the voicemail below.  This is definitely a scam.

"Hello, This is Michael Washington from the publishers clearing house. You are the first place winner, so please call me back You're the first place winner like 3.5 million dollars, so call me right back. Bye."

Two calls came to our house this evening from +18768316836.  One to my cell number, then,a minute later, called my husband's cell number with the same story.  He said he was one hour away in Miami, Ok.  They would be arriving at our home between 8:30 and 9:00 in the morning because we had won  2.5 million dollars from Publishers Clearing House.  He instructed us to call him back on his number on our call log.  We didn't.  Concerned where he got our numbers!

I just got a call from him also saying he was driving from Miami, OK on Highway 66.  I told him I believed it to be a scam and he gave me a callback # in case we got disconnected.  The number was 1-876-831-6836 (Jamaica #).  He said I was entered because I shopped at stores like Walmart, CVS, Walgreens etc.  I hung up on him.

Got a call on my cell from this number.  Didn't answer.  Looked up number and found the previous posts about a Micheal Robertson.  Immediately started getting calls from an "unknown" number.  Answered the second time.  He introduced himself as Micheal Robertson!  I almost laughed.  But instead I told him I was just sitting reading about him and how his calls were a scam, to take me off his list and do not call again or I was going to call the FBI.  Almost as soon as I hung up this same number called my husband's cell phone (our numbers are only one digit apart).  I answered and it was him again!  I told him he just talked to me and this was my other line and he better not call it again or I would call the FBI.  It is amazing how stupid some people are.

My previous message - got the name wrong...it was Micheal Washington not Robertson.

I just received a call from this number. The man claimed to be dave sawyer. He said i won 2.5 million.  He had me believing it until he said i need to go to western union and send him $250. I told him he was crazy and this is a scam.

lol i just got a call from that # to my cell phone and he said he was from the irs and on my call it shows its from jamaica lol well his name was danaold cooder  and i won 6.5000 $ and a 2016 pick up truck.he even when has far has give me a check # 655503usa 1133896 from the bank of american all i had to do is send is a payment of 165 for taxs and the check would be send to me. the funny thing is the whole time i knew he was full of it so i told him if he could tell me my name cause if he worked for the irs then he should be able to tell me my name not a word back .lol so i hung up lol... i gotta give it to him he tried...
