NACS called claiming I owed money and was a legal matter and a pending case and to contact immediately or action will be taken

Stating I owed money and that they were going to prosecute.

National Attorney's called climing he had my file on his desk and wanted med to call back asap to 877-202-5736.  Wanted to discuss a pending case and legal matter.

Did they try to "procecute" yet?

Call from 8185479770 , Layla, caliming she had just wrapped up a pending file on my daughter and wanted a call back.    Claiming to be from the National Lawyers Office but the caller ID was from National Collec. Fraudulant representation is illegal.

A man calling himself Bruce David from National Attorney's Lawfirm stated he needed to talk to our daughter as soon as possible to discuss a legal matter.  When I called, he couldn't tell me what he was calling about until I gave him the name he was asking for.  I told him that he was the one that called my number and he should know what he called me for just 2 hours ago.  This has got to be a scam.  He was very unprofessional and got irrate so I hung up on him.  Lawyers don't make their own calls either so this has to be a scam.  Any firm would have a disclosing caller ID.

My best advice is to ask them for proof of the so- called debt they have to provide that to you. Also ask for a mailing address if they are a legal collection service they aslo have to give it to you. I have done alot of checking on them and keep coming up with RED FLAGS so be careful who you think you are dealing with. DON'T GIVE OUT PRIVATE INFORMATION TO THEM.

Was called by someone named Layla that she was from the National Attoney's Office and that she had just recieved my file and just finished the paper work, so she was hoping she could reach me to let me know what my status of being prosucuted was,this is misreprentation of who she really was and this is illegal.This shoulsd not be allowed.

I received a call exactly like all the others last night.  "Paige" scared the hell out of me saying that I am going to be prosecuted and could face up to $5000 in garnishments unless I paid ASAP.  I didn't deny I owed what they were representing.  I begged and borrowed to gather the sum they claimed I owed. I tried to call them today and the line has been busy all day long.  So I google searched the number and came across this site...THANK GOD!  I called the original creditor and they told me the claim was with another agency and the amount was $126 LESS than NACS claimed I owed.  WOW, thank you to this site and everyone that has posted.

Got home and had a message on my machine from Shawn Crow with National Attorney.  Left his phone number as 1-877-202-5736, ex. 222. Said he had a case pending against a Jeremy Collins and to call ASAP. There's no Jeremy Collins living here, nor do any of us know anyone by that name (or even close to it). I did try to call the 877 number once and got a busy signal, I'm not wasting my time with a second.  This Crow idiot should have paid closer attention to my answering machine as our name is given on the recording (and no, my name isn't even close to Collins).

I receive a call from a lady named Paige, who claimed she was a Para legal. Phone: number 877-202-5736. She called to discuss the money I had given the company bounced back. She continued to be very rude to me, telling me that she was going to serve me a sapien. I would have to take 6 months class for fraud, which she mentioned would cost 700$. Also that I would have to pay legal fees that would add up to 2,000 dollars. She stated i would have to pay all the money, which would add up to more than $3000 and go to the fraud classes if i didn't pay her the $402 by tomorrow July 22, 2009 by 5 pm. They claim before that my debt was only 375. They have called my job numerous of times. My boss told me they called at least 3 times a week. I would have worked something out with the lady but, because she was so rude and inconsiderate over my financial situation, she made it impossible to reason out a solution. Is there someone I can call for advice on what to do and also to stop the calls and harassments.

A call came through on my cell from "Private Number" twice within two minutes.  The caller left a message stating her name, Lauren from National Attorney's was calling for Robin Gillman and that this Robin person left my number as a contact number.  I do not know anyone by the name of Robin.  Lauren left her number, 877-202-5736 ext. 214 along with a detailed message as to why she was calling.  Telling me my "friend, Robin" has a legal injunction against her and that I need to contact her immediately and have her call them back.  Giving out the personal detail as to why she was calling is illegal.  I just called Lauren back and did actually speak to her.  I told her I had no idea who this Robin is and she needs to take the number out of her system.  I told her I had the number for many years and that Robin must have given her a bad number.  Also told her that I have dealt with collectors in the past and I know my rights and if I were Robin I would file a legal complaint against Lauren because she gave out highly confidential information on a voice mail that isn't even correct.  Lauren's response.."oh, okay."  She's not worried.

I received a call from Jacob Marshall stating that he needed to speak with me regarding a pending case I have.. umm first of all I know my status and have a super clean record. So I called my friend who works for the courts and we looked up the 877-202-5736 x-224 number and sure enough there are others that are receiving this same type of call. So my question is what can we do about this. How STRANGE!!!

We rec'd a message on our answering machine that legal action was pending against our daughter and they were giving us a chance to settle the debt that this was the last ditch effort as they are tying up the case for prosecution.  Well the legal action they "CLAIM" to be taking is for an 8 year old....  this place needs to be shut down, they are calling and commiting fraud....thay want info to charge you for something you DON'T owe..........be cautious....

You may need to file a police report.  If they are contacting you regarding a 8 year old, there may be some fraudulent activity on your daughter's SSN.  If they call again ask then for the last four digits of the SSN they have on file. If they refuse, file the police report in your jurisdiction.

My brother received a phone call from 1-877-202-5736/ from a simon character. Simon told my brother that they are looking for me and that they were going to sue me for money owed. i am a collector myself, i know the law. i dont know who these people are. I called back the number he gave me and spoke with someone i asked for their address and she hung up on me.

i got a call from the same people you all got  as i do know that a collection ageny acting like lawerys is very much against the law this is a scam  i was called at my work by a guy name  stanly he was very rude threatening if i did,nt pay 900 by that thurday it was going to court well i took there number and traced it back to new york  there is no law firm by that name i turn it over to new york attorney general office and this lady is trying to scam you just like that  guy try to do me  about 3 weeks ago  i called the state where that number was traced to  i call the  state office of all lawerys in that state and not 1 had the name of the law firm. and i did get dupe on about a month ago from another one who acted like a law firm saying that they was getting ready to get me on fraud i do.nt rember knowing about on  a cash net  well i am tracing him now and will file charges against them on that i did send the money with out thinking. but this  Lauren   877-202-5736  ext 214  ok let me ask you all did you ever order anything on line before  internet is the wrost place to put stuff on line any info you put on there thats how theses scam people get your info and they start doing this to you.
