Agent saying that he was calling from South West Airline

Totally a SCAM.

I am repeatedly receiving phone calls from 1-877-202-8686. I am on the do not call list. They never leave a message and if I try to call back the line is busy. How do I stop this number from calling me?

ID read 'unavailable'. Call went to voice message. I heard many voices in the background pitching limited offers. Likely a call center for telemarketers.

how can I keep this number from calling my home phone. They call and I can hear in the background laughing and then it goes dead. I call this number back and rings once then gives you a busy signal.

A callback leaves gets a busy signal . Another cockroach telemarketer. Block the number with a device. Donotcall.gov is a joke. Why are we paying the FCC?

Received a call from this number at 2:26 PM MST on April 1, 2014.  When I first picked up the phone I paused for a couple of seconds and then heard someone say "Hello".  I said "hello".  The caller said "Yes, may I please speak to (gave my name).  I asked "What is this in regard to?"  Caller stated:  "This is Brenda calling on behalf of United Airlines."  I said "I don't have any business with United Airlines.".  She said "Okay, thank  you."  Call then ended

Very strange.  So now is United Airlines offering me free airfare or something??  Haven't flown United Airlines in over two years.

You can't....Unfortunately the only thing you can do, short of disconnecting your phone is to not answer the call.
It is an inconvenience in our busy day to day, but what I do is this;  connect the call and then immediately disconnect the call, then go about your business.  Eventually, you'll find your un-solicited inbound time wastes will diminish. Personally mine are about one per day or less.  

On a broader scale...register to vote if you aren't already,  and vote.  Fire them if they don't want to follow the rules.  Do that for to or three seasons and we will end up with politicians that know the constituency will no longer tolerate this nonsense.

Hang up call from telemarketer boiler room.  But we are on the Do Not Call lists (Federal and State).  See other victim messages above.  

The call starts out with background noise of other people speaking.  Then in a foreign accent says something like this"  "Hey, my name is Miscully (sp?) and I want you to attend my concert in [my town]..Ha Ha Ha Ha.  Then hangs up.

I received a call from this number and and they were looking for the name of the person that owned my number... which i responded if you are calling it's because you should also have the name of the person that owns the number... They said that only the number is given to them and the reason for the call was because I was selected to come and look at their presentation and by doing so that I would get a round trip airline ticket to anywhere in the US including Hawaii and Puerto Rico.  They said they were affiliated with all major airlines, they wouldn't give me the name until i finally told them i would not concent to anything until they told me what the name of their business was... they said it was Grand Discovery Travel.  

Same call.  I have a new way to handle telemarkers even if I have to listen to the recorded  message
.  When I do get a live person on the line I have a very loud air horn from Walmart  which I blast in their ear  the air horn can be found in the boating section it makes me feel better after I blast them in their ear.

Caller ID printed "TOLL FREE CALLER" (no company name) -- no doubt a telemarketer of some type as a message was left by an overly excited male voice that reminded me of a game show host saying mine was a winning entry in a contest I'd entered a while back (didn't say what I'd won and I don't enter contests).  He offered hearty congratulations and hoped I'd soon return the call to get my prize.  I promptly blocked the number.

i am upset because of this call from this phone number and someone called out the name on the phone account and said F*** you Mr. and Mrs. ***** and then said F*** you and your whole family!!!

Got six calls alone today from this number.  Phone identifies the caller as "NULL"; I didn't pick up and of course, they left no message.  I don't even call the number back as this can be logged in by them.    Scammers?  Probably!
