keeps calling my cell number, no message.....rogers says it could be from the US!

constantly call to my home phone, asking for my husband (knows his full name). Does not explain me anything.

They talked with my father and asked in wich city he's born. They talked about insurance but nothing clear. I called back and on the answering machine it gives the company name : something like National List of the telephones excluded of the country...

Just started to call my house phone.

They are calling here, whoever they are, as well.  I am in Oakville Ontario (near Toronto).  Very annoying, as I am on the Canadian Do Not Call List.  I called the number, and it turns out it is TRG Customer Solutions, and they do marketing, phone surveys etc.  When you call you get an automated voice message, which gives you the option of inputting your number to be removed from their calling list.  I input my number.  They also give you the web address for their company, so if after 72 hrs i am still getting calls, I will contact them via regular channels.

My gut instinct is they are contracted by one of my financial service providers such as my bank.  The current do not call legislation gives parties who already have a relationship with you an out - they are allowed to initiate contact with you even if you are on the DNC list, and you have to advise them when you are contacted to be removed from their internal calling list, at that time.  So now that I have made that request via the automated service, it should stop.

A suggestion for all.  If you have skype out, you can download Pamela Basic for free which will allow record conversations. So you can record your whole call where you implement removal from their calling list.  That way if they try to deny you made the request, you can prove you did because you have the sound file.  Thats the sort of evidence that gets these guys into trouble, especially if you also complain to their customer.  NO bank wants its customers leaving due to reasons such as this.

I just suscribe to the CRTC National list and can't it for it to be effective!
My ex-roomate has given our number to everybody's who's calling to do survey's and now, I'm stock with all those "parasites"

I have registed with DNCL. but they still call at least 10 times for the past two weeks, this is ridiculous. If they don't stop calling I will file a complain next week.
