I got a call from this number this morning. It showed as "Unavailable" so I didn't bother picking it up. It left a long voice message about how important it is to get a flu shot. One of the things it mentioned was the CVS clinics as a place to get flu shots,  so I wouldn't be surprised to find that CVS is behind these robocalls.

I had prior problems with CVS robocalls, to the point where I asked my local CVS pharmacist to\ take my phone number off their records. If something goes wrong with my prescription, I'll find out when I go in to pick it up.

CVS is developing a reputation for irritating their customers with robocalls.

“The Centers for Disease Control and Blue Cross and Blue Shield strongly recommend that you get a flu shot!”

There is NO WAY to get this robo-caller to understand that you received their message. So they will call, and call, and CALL!

I HATE these irritating calls interrupting my day.  Sure, Caller ID on the TV is fine, but you STILL have to stop what you're doing and go look at the TV if you're not already in the same room.  If I want a flu shot, I know enough to go get one!

    RETIRED LAW ENFORCEMENT
I am on the Do Not Call Register and have been for over one year. At 1:55 PM on Friday, October 18, 2013 my home phone rang. The calling number showed up as 877-205-1650. The recorded message asked I press number 1 for details of Blue Cross and Blue Shield. I did not press any number 1 as I am a bit suspicious of scams that happen by pressing various numbers. Later, I called the number shown above and an elderly woman answered the phone and said this was a private home telephone number and it's sure not Blue Cross or Blue Shield. And, yes, I dialed the number correctly! Not sure what's going on but it sounds a bit kinky to say the last!

CVS telemarking flu shots via robo-call. Left a long message on my voicemail. I filled a prescription several months ago so this a legal as I have done business with CVS within the past year. But guess what, I won't be doing business with them anymore. I already got my flu shot at Walgreens. I wasn't aware that the profit margin was high enough to warrant telemarketing robo-calls.

If you have a CVS care card you will get these calls.  Call CVS Customer Care and ask to opt out and they will remove your number from these types of calls without interfering with calls to renew or pickup scripts.

i meant to also say that i asked the girl the name of the company she was calling from and she said Senior Life Support and it was like that "help i've fallen and i can't get up".  Odd, ha ha, that since I turned 65 I get these kinds of calls.  It doesn't help to be on the no call list as i am and i've also pressed 5 to not be called again...of course that didn't work.  I told her I was going to research the company and she could call back...we'll see.  Oh yes, she said "everything" would be free.  Sounds like DirecTV and AT&T

ROT, do not answer numbers you do not know and do not press any buttons. All your doing is confirming they have a live number.  The DNC isn't a call blocker though, they can not stop illegal callers, frauds and scammers from calling you. Only honest business's abide by it.

Consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

Report your callers here, not just to the DNC alone:

Yesterday at 2:12 PM, there was a very long winded message robo-call from Blue Cross & Blue Shield / CVS Pharmacy on my answering machine.  It was claiming they were from the CVS Pharmacy and they were advertising the need for us to get our flu shot.  I have not given this phone number to Blue Cross & Blue Shield not to CVS. These telemarketers must be phishing for people to bite.  Not me!
