Always get called by this number. don't know who it is or why!! Filed PD report for harrassment.

Always get calls to return their call, but when I called them back, they said they were CCA, they do a lot of different businesses and my name is NOT on their list...THEN WHY DID YOU LEAVE ME 4 MESSAGES!

They leave a detailed message requesting that I return their call about "an important buisness matter" and then, when I call back, there is no answer.  How frustrating!

I get these calls, says they need to discuss a very important business matter. Could this be a scam just to get a person to call back just to verify that you got that call??? Funny how the caller ID shows as UNKNOWN. I am NOT calling it back, and will not answer again.

CCA is a collection agent type attorney. The kind that has not seen the inside of a court room since college moot court.
The best thing to do with these guys is to ignore the call.
They go out to some type of national available list of old debts and try to collect them on a commission. And when I say OLD debt I mean old!
They tried to collect from me even though it was well beyond the 3 year statute of limitations and had been discharged by Federal Bankruptcy Court.
They will try and they will say anything. Lying is what they are best at.
They are afraid of a court room so never concern yourselves with them.
You can file with their State's Attorney General. They have several offices but last I checked I beliebe they were in PA.
Just Google "CCA collection agents" and you should find them.

It's a company collects debts for anyting such as a cellular phone bill or credit cards and anything you maybe a company THINKS you owe for a service

Those messages are left...becuase YOU put yourself in collections!! That's what happens when you can't pay your bills.  Sucks huh?  Think about that the next time you decide to complain.  If you were owed money, you would be calling too.

This is what happens when you're a debt collector: what little writing skill you had deteriorates and you become semi-literate, incoherent, abusive, and otherwise unemployable.  Sucks huh?  Don't let this happen to you.

They left 5 messages on MY phone and when I finally spoke with them, it was not for ME.  I had never heard of the person and I have never been in debt or was even late on a bill.  So there are most likely many people receiving a call from this company who are without fault.

Received a call from "John" asking for a person who does not live at my phone number.  "John" referenced a file number, too.

I OWE no debts and pay bills ahead. These are scams. They call leave messages on my phone for a woman whom Ive never heard of. So I don't answer it. Thank god for caller ID... I also signed up for DO NO CALL list.

so this number calls my work, for a co-worker ALL the time. i swear, if you people paid your flipping bills, YOU WOULDNT BE ON HERE COMPLAINING!

I read your message board about a phone number from 877*208*4176. I continually get these too. They leave messages telling me they "require immediate attention." I don't have any debt with the exception of my car and home, and I am current (and always have been) on my monthly paymens. So those of you who are getting uptight to we who receive these calls from what you say is a collection agency, stop judging. Because I return the call and no one answers, nor is there a voice mail. If this is so urgent why am I getting this call?

I get these messages as well.  The way I look at, if they can call they can write.  I'll respond when I get a letter.  They are a collection agency because I get other calls asking for people that had my number before I did.  Best advice, screen your calls and then delete the message.

Sorry to deflate your bubble but collectors are exempt from the Do Not Call list as are charities and political calls. But you are correct in not answering these calls. If you cant stand it anymore when they keep calling then find their address here or on budhibbs.com and send a cease and desist letter. They then must send proof of the debt and must stop calling. Thats how you get them to write and not call. The reason they dont write is because they usually have no proof of the debt. Whether they are calling for you or someone who you dont know send the letter and they will have to shut up or you can sue them under the FDCPA. And you should SAVE their messages so you can use them in court against them.

First at all don't be friend from people that owe money that's why a collection company call you....
They will call
Maybe your ex wife. Your neighbor, your friend or maybe a phone that you cosigned for your lover so just pay your bills and you will not received any calls that how easy it is.

You put yourself in collections so live with that.

These loosers call and refuse to tell me who they are or what they want unless I give them my social security number. THis sounds like a con.
