debt collector

This outfit called my cell phone, not my home phone. They called a week or two ago trying to reach my brother-in-law. It doesn't say who it is from on my cell caller ID. If "sammy" is correct, and if it is FMA Alliance, then they tried to reach my brother-in-law through me. UGH!

Your caller isn't located at this forum. That's like your caller accusing you.

Bottom feeder debt collector- hides Caller ID intentionally (pretty sure this is illegal)

Calls numerous times, never leaves a message. Unidentified caller, guess they never wish to reach whoever they're calling :)

Called, left no message.

Called and left a message on my home phone.  FMA Alliance Debt Collection.  I have no idea who they're looking for since they didn't bother to leave that pertinent bit of information or what possible account it's in regards to.  2 numbers for them.  887-209-3468 (left in the message) and 877-243-3292 (showed up on the caller ID).

Well known criminal enterprise operating as a debt collector.  Since they left you a message, they are now required to do this:

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) postmarked within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

debt collector, does not identify themselves and on occasion gets really aggressive.  unfortunately for them I am not the intended recipient of the call. they just call and look for names.
