Someone called and asked for "Brian Stein"... no one here by that name. Caller did not identify who they were.

Unwanted call - said they were an 'investigator' and gave a case number..... Made it sound like police matter. I knew I hadn't done anything and when I called back clearly no law enforcement agency. Very inappropriate and should be investigated!

Actually the caller identified herself as 'investigator Jackson.'

she says she's an investigator named Jackson. give her no info. She really isn't who she says she is

I just received the same text.  Saying officer Jackson and gave a case number.  Did anyone call this person back. Does anyone know who this actually is?  I certainly don't have any legal issues

Actually I was not called. I was texted. Which no official person would ever do. I blocked the number and was texted this morning with the same exact message but from a different number (since I blocked the last one) it was a 415 number which is in the San Francisco area.  I blocked it as well since I know that no official government agency would ever text me or be open on a Saturday morning    This is bogus. If you have an iphone you can go to the contact I do and at the bottom there is a block this number option. I suggest everyone do it

I keep received text and messages from  this number - It is investigater "Jackson" with a case # for my son.  It is not for me so I want this to stop.  I will give them no information!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rec'd a call today at 1 pm stating 'this is Investigator Jackson (woman's voice) and I need to call this number...Knew it was a scam right away as I've had scam calls from 877 area before. I've done nothing that an 'investigator' should call me...think this is a ploy to get you 'afraid' and call the scammers back..I WISH the gov't could do something with these people!
