Got a call from 917-423-3094. Said her name was Jean. She is trying to collect my brother's "Arizona State Debt from past due criminal charges". Gave the callback number of 877-215-2920

Called my cell phone (which is on the do not call list).  Did not pick it up (I don't pick up unknown numbers) and they did not leave a message.

Got a call from 877-215-2920 calling for my friend who they said used me as a reference. I called back and they said they called me to tell me to have her call them back for a personal business matter. Asked my friend and she has no idea what is going on.

This number left me a message saying it was a reference for my sister. That I needed to call them back. I did not. I get way to many calls like this on my cell phone and I am also on the do not call list
I wonder how they get my name and my sister name.

I just got the same call from a lady named Cari who asked for a family member saying it was an important business matter that has a time limit on it. My family member has no idea who she is or what she is calling about. When she did talk to her last she kept asking for personal information but would not say who she was.

left message , sd call back 87721529201 in reference to bobby (brother of my husband who died 40 years ago.  sounds like bill collector skip tracing. but know idea how they got my cell, obviously i was no reference and cell phones were not even invented back then. i won't call back. no one owes debt on a dead person and once they have your number they will give to all. also on do not call list. seems to matter less every day.

First of all, these people do not introduce themselves when they call, they are calling on the landline and on my husband's cell, how could they be reputable? Why won't they leave a message? Too many red flags on this number, I advise you, don't pick up!

Calling a cellphone is not allowed, if it is a debt collector, here in Florida they can be liable for 1,500 per call if they continually call you on your cellphone.

Received a call from the same number, person left a name Sharon Bennet I believe and she left a ref number with a call back number I assume it was a debt collector, but have no idea since she did not say.  She was looking for my husband.

If this is collection butt wipes I surely don't know why they're calling me. Don't have nor ever have had school loans. Probably another scam of some sort.

Called asking for my ex. The comment above about it being a collections agency for student loans through Navient is highly likely as he does have a student loan through them. I would say it checks out. They were hoping to get further contact information through me.

Called looking for a friends daughter whom I don't have any contact with or does this girl live close to me. Said it was about a referral and left a "reference" number which instantly sent up red flags. I did not call back

This company called my grandmother number and asked for my Aunt. They stated they needed to get in touch with me about a time sensitive matter.  I called number and found it was a debt collector and they were referencing an old bill that was paid off last year.  Don't respond to this number.  The person said her name was Carrie

Got a call from this 877-215-2920 but did not answer since I didn't recognize the number ( I don't answer calls that are not in my contacts).  Girl did leave a message saying her name was Dee Roberts and left the same 2920 call-back number and a reference number.  She said that my name had been listed as a personal reference ( which is bull [***] ).  No company or business name or the nature of the business.

"Michelle Smith" called today, in regards to someone I've never heard of. Gave a ridiculously long reference #. Not born yesterday, [***].

I've had two calls from the same people from different numbers saying that they need to talk to me about a relative (a person that I am not even related to) and they leave me a (probably fake) reference number. They don't leave a name or tell me who they work for. They don't leave any information whatsoever. These people are not even competent enough to do their job right. They make everything sound so suspicious. I immediately block their number and delete them from my call history list. It is probably a pathetic scam!!!

Received a call from this number, they left a message. They gave a reference number and the name of a former student of mine. I don't know if this is just coincidence, but it happened the day after I had wished him a happy birthday on Facebook. They could be mining Facebook for information. I contacted him, and he had no idea who it was or what it could be about.
