Got one today from 8772173514. Said I owe money which I know I don't.  Said they were  from Brown a view Recovery Group. Checked my credit score and there is nothing on it with that amount.

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

They left a message stating that by law, they are allowed to call any of my past references to gain my where abouts and if they did or did not know me, to call back! They wouldn't not say where they we're calling from.

This number has called 10 times today and 10 times yesterday. Message says they are tracing my husband. We have no debts. BLOCKED!

I am  at work, and this number keep calling me.  When I leave work, try to call back but this number doesn't answer.  I blocked it and they call from another number doing the same thing.  They call atleast two times a day.

This number has called my wife multiple times, and my old step father from when my mother was married. And today they finally call me. All saying they are trying to trace my whereabouts. I don't know what it is or why the call everyone first, then me. Seems the research I've done is pulling sites like this up of the number being reported and very recently too. What do I do?

Called my cellphone while I was at work - didn't leave a message.  Checked here and found out it is a debt collector most likely.  Will block and hope the calls stop.

In all my research, I'm not seeing how that number is related to the companies you listed. Can you share how you tied them together? Thank you.

Did you happen to look at the links?  They are all possible, but it is not uncommon for these criminal enterprises to use many different company names, no is it uncommon for them to use the name of a company that is no longer in business, or to use the name of a well established lawyer.  If you don't want to agree with my post, simply do your own homework, and then post your results along with the citations of the web sites or other works that you have used to refute me.
My next question is "Why would you be questioning my results? "  You must have a motive.  For instance do you work for them and don't want people informed?  I really can't see any other motive, but you are welcome to venture one.
