this toll free number has been harassing us for the last few days. who are they?!

877-218-8371 is assigned to Associated Community Services, a fund-raiser/solicitor for a number of charitable organizations.

Received a call asking for pledge to American Homeless Veterans and then ask for bank and checking account routing number. This raised a flag to me as being fraudulant. Are they legitimate?

They will not stop calling, and I am on the DO NOT CALL LIST  what does it take.
And I have a private number

This company is a charity they dont have to comply to the do not call list cause they are a charity. which gives most of there money over seas. I called charity navigator she said they are not a good company and do not give your information to them cause all they will do is pass it on to the next company to have them start calling you. Get the name number and any information you can about them then tell them to remover your number from there call list or you will file a complaint. The public utility company can tell you how to go about it. The fine is like around 250 or 500 dollars if they call you back. There was a lady that made a good living for a while off telemarketiers calling her and all the money she made filing against them calling her. you can google and look up how to do it online. They are driving me nuts calling and when they call tomorrow im going to get all the infromation and file against them and see how it goes i could use some extra cash.

these people don't give up! they call every morning and evening and are really getting on my nerves. i have asked them to stop calling and they hang up on me before i can finish the sentence.

These people are relentless!    Because I have caller ID, I don't pick up any of these toll free numbers, but they call day in and day out, sometimes even more than once a day.  Have been doing it for weeks and weeks.  I had hoped they would eventually give up, but that doesn't appear to be happening.

Please do not call me again.

I called this number and they said they are removing my from their list. I let them know that if they call again I'm lodging a complaint...Now I hope they do because I could use some extra money...

Called(248)352-2600.  after an afternoon call.  they called me again at 718.  Told this caller exactly what i did, and she said she would remove me from the list and tell her shift super.  we will see.....

This phone number calls me several times a week.  I have even instructed my children not to answer if they see this number.  How do I get them to stop?

Have received calls from this number and also 877-241-8308.  Have to start shutting the ringer off when I leave the house so that the constant ringing doesn't drive my pets insane.  Needs to stop since I have an unlisted private number and pay every month to keep it that way.

If this number calls, don't answer. It has called several times for different organizations.

I receive calls from this number several times a day.  I am going to find out how to file a complaint to get them to stop calling - so frustrating.  I do not answer this or any other long distance number if I don't know anyone in that area code - everyone should do the same.

They called me and said that I had never sent the $20 for that last two times they had contacted me.  I said "sorry I don't remember that".  They said I could pay it by credit card now.  I said, I do not use a credit card over the phone.  I said that I could send it to them if they gave me the address, etc.  They did:

Needless to say, I tried to verify who they were and am seeing a long list of potential scam calls.  They won't get my $20.00.

They called in Nov week for the Children's Cancer fund.  I donated.  They called the next week for the MO Vietnam Veterans Foundation.  I donated.  They called a few weeks later for the Children's Cancer fund.  I advised I had already donated.  They replied that was for 2011 this was for 2012.  I donated and advised not to call back this year.  Then the call for the Vietnam Vets came again.  Again for 2012. I told them to send an envelope and I would send a check.  Just got a call from them today.  My daughter answered and told them to call back.  I looked up the cancelled check.  Called them back and left a polite baited message to call me back so I could get my donation taken care of.

Ya it took me a little bit to realize that it was the same organization asking for donations for separate charities.

The people are very persistant with there calls ans extremely annoying I wished they would quite calling.
