it's Lewis Hastie Receivables, they are a debt collection company that specializes in the violation of the fair debt collection practices act! ONE OF THE WORST IN THE INDUSTRY!!!! DON'T PAY THEM!!!!!

The caller from 877 219-0986 continues to call our business line, asking for someone who does not work here.

Greetings and well met. Please do not panic, as for I can help assist your concerns. The information you seek on the phone number 877-219-0986 is that of a debt collection agency known as Lewis Hastie Receivables. They will only identify themselves as LHR inc, request the account holders name, and say they have some paperwork in their office they need to discuss. They will not answer any questions unless you identify yourself (you being the account holder they are looking for). Now please understand that although we are in the tech age, many of us do not have the ability to quick surf the internet to discover who they are and for whom they work for to collect the past due debt on.  They know this and play that card. Saying they have paperwork in their office is discretely a ploy, but they do have a debt collect on... the paper is your promisery note to pay back whatever bill you owe. *** 1) Don't Ever Identify yourself... they will be forced to hang up. If you do.... you give them a Verbal Contact which means your account is now fully active and not a lost cause. If you do, 2) Don't Acknowledge the debt... ALWAYS DISPUTE and ask for PROOF! This means they are forced to find the original copies of yer debt and you are no longer just a file in their auto dialer computer system. IF YOU OWE THE DEBT, Remember your Statue of Limitations and The Fair Debt Collections Practices(Pact). They only have 7 years to collect on the debt.... Remind them of that. Towards the 6 or 7th year they may file a judgement on you... them or another company. Don't Panic, their are alternatives and loop holes you can go through. In the mean time, 9 out of 10 debts get wiped from companies like this within the first 30 to 60 days if not 120. If they don't get an actual contact they loose the file from those paying them to collect on it. GOOD LUCK!

They are very rude... The lady hung up after I wouldn't pay over the phone!!

Hey LHR.  Everytime you call me at using my local area code, you violated the FDCPA.  
Every time you call,  I potentially can mke $1000.00 per call when I sue you.

If you laugh at that I can sue under the Truth in caller ID Act where I won't make a dime but the United States will make $10,000 per violation.  

So I dare you to call again.

They've called twice in the past 3 weeks, identifying themselves LHR and asking for a family member who doesn't live here. They refuse to answer ANY questions. This time they wanted A COPY OF POWER OF ATTORNEY FAXED TO THEM. I'm not an idiot and certainly won't comply with their request.Very suspicious,considering they want a copy of the persons POA !! My opinion is STAY AWAY and reveal nothing to them!!
