This is a collection agency from wicker and associates collecting debt for discover.

Second time they called.  First call.. no message.  This call I was home, picked up
the phone and was hung up on.  I think a REAL collection agency would leave a message..
this calling all the people with the same last name is bull.   You have a common last name
like, say .. Smith.. your phone must ring all day!

UPDATE.  Got a call at 8:01 in the morning.  Answered the phone.  Said hello 3 times.  Just dead air.  So I waited till it disconnected.  Took about 15 more seconds till someone said "Is Yvonne there?" I didn't here the name so I said "Excuse me?" They said "Is Yvonne (Last name) there?"  I said you have the wrong number.. and they just hung up.  This person shares the same last name as me.   This is the second time from a different "collection agency" calling for this person.  The last company was nice and said they were sorry and would remove my number.. this jerk just hangs up.   Didn't get company name so I have no idea what agency it is.

Got call twice today from this number.  First time I answered and no one said anything so I hung up.  Second call I answered and could hear some woman carrying on a personal conversation with someone so I listened and she was talking about trying to buy something for a dollar and then eventually hung up without even speaking to me!  What kind of professional outfit is this place?  Collectors or not, get someone with a brain to make the calls and not hire idiots.  At least it's on THEIR dime, not mine.

Asked for someone and when I say there is no one at this number with that name they hang up. They also keep calling. I called to complain and they said I was not in their records.

Received several calls from this #.  Each time I answer they hang up.  I decided to call them back.  The company name is Wicker and Assoc.  They are a collection agency.  I spoke to Tammy.  Actually was rather pleasant to talk to.  She asked my name and ph#.  She stated they were looking for a Randy with my last name.  I told Tammy there isn't a Randy living here.  She apololgized and saiid she would remove my ph# from their list.  I asked if she promises.  She started laughing and said she promised. I then said, if you call me again and hang up on me, I will continually call you back and ask for Tammy.  And each time Tammy answers I will hang up her.   So lets see if my msg got thru...

Just got a call from them and they were looking for someone by my name and number but not my address. they also gave me what sounded like a random four numbers trying to guess my social. These A** holes sound like scammers

Same thing - they keep calling and hanging up - 8AM and Noon usually - I am not in collections for anything no idea who they are looking for

This morning after 8:00 I received a call from this number and they stated they were Zwicker and Associates.  The person did not give me their name.  They knew my information about a debt I owed to Discover and kept hassling me about what I am going to paid.  I told them I talked to them at the middle part of the month that I would be getting back with them and they felt I was refusing to pay them.  I told them I am not but I would make some arrangement at the end of the month what I can pay as I am unemployed at this time.

Are they really Swicker and Associates and do you think they are scamming us.  I too received a call this morning and they seemed to know all my information about my Discover card.

I received a call from Norna this morning, she started asking personal questions and I refused to give the answers until I got information on what this call was in reference to.  She only kept saying it was personal, she said if you just give me your address and confirm your last 4 digits of your ss#, I told her I refuse to give my personal info over the phone and again asked what this is in reference to, she again said a personal matter.  I hung up on her.

DO NOT CALL NO MORE YOU CALL 5 OR 6 TIMES A DAY

Caller call everyday sometimes 3 pr 4 times daily.

I am getting several phone calls a day from 877-219-4231.  I do not answer, but that is the number that is always on my call ID.  These calls are several times a day.  This is very annoying and scary.  Please tell me what to do.  I am on the no call directory.

Calls 3 or 4 times a day, never leaves a message.  I called the number back and was told they were looking for my husband's x-wife of 13 years ago.  They said they would take my number out of their system by 9:00 PM tonight.  Thank goodness.  These calls are so annoying.  So, it's possible that if you return these annoying calls and actually talk to them about what they want, you might be able to rectify the situation and stop their calls.

this is Zwicker & Associates.  I went through and consolidated my bills and Discover is one of them and cards are all paid but they still keep calling.  They don't have their records organized so make sure if you did some bill consolidation especially with Discover cards, keep all your records and bank statements for proof of payments.  I will sue them if they don't stop the harassment calls.

yep same story here. Multiple Daily Calss w/o messages. Hangs up when answered, etc.
Call Discover 1-800-347-2683 and complain.
I did. Don't know if it will work but i reckon something will give when they get too many calls. Be sure to ask for a supervisor. She said there was an account that she pulled up with the same name. Kept trying to get me to tell her my particulars. Really? In my State? Well No, she said.
Really? well lemme tell you something....Here's what i told Miss Discover Girl...

When i was a scruffy brat my Mammy would sometimes say, "If you dont stop that crying, I'm going to give you something to cry about!" and we yungins knew she meant business and we'd dry it up right quick like.

Dont have your card dont need your card! If you dont stop calling I'll GET me one of them there Discover cards and run up the bill and let you hold the bag!

Then you'll have a reason to call me or Rather....You'll have somethin' to cry about!

LOL! She still pryed for personal info, I would not, she reasoned that I didnt want her to help. Yeah right Missy. If I can use this here Web and find you then you can do your research and find out that I'm NOT who you're looking for.

OR I'll give you a FAT bill to cry over HAHAHA!!!! Then i can laugh every time you call.

DISCOVER THIS MISS!

I received a call from these people this morning at 8:20 in the morning.  The person identified herself by name and I gave her mine.  She immediately started asking me questions wanting me to verify personal information which I refused to do.  She would not tell me the purpose of the call after I repeatedly asked.  I told her that I was ill (had just had treatment) which I had and did not want any unnecessary calls especially on my cell phone.  She hung up as I was telling her to not phone here anymore.  I do not now or have I ever had a Discover card.

I see many comments regarding Discover - which I have never had, but they also do collection for Kohl's and some medical.
I recommend to those who have been called, pull your credit report. Not implying YOU have anything in collection, but someone else may have gotten a hold of your info. This happened to me and I didnt know for 5 years! Now Im in collection - not only for a utility bill but a medical as well.
Following the steps to clear it up - but just be safe - check your credit. You can run it for free once a year from all three credit agencies. I highly recommend it.
It would also give you recourse for these calls. One way to get them to stop calling is have them send you information via USPS. Once you request that, according to the Fair Credit Act, they cannot call you. Whether its valid for you or not.
