- shortmamaI always get them calling me on my phone telling me that they are investigators and if i don't do what the say they will take it to the next step and we all know what that mean. I am thinking this is a collection agency trying to get money. They always call from differnt #'s and when i call to find out where the compay is I have not record of it. It drives me crazy..

- Genesis| 1 replyYeah, that's the number 1-877-221-7052 and they got me for $140.00! Risk Managment Investigative Services with the web site rmiservices.biz. And on that web site they also have this number and no more forwarding information like an address. When the caller, Chase, sent me an email it listed an address in Atlanta with a google map attachment. They are not at that address. I will not mention the address in case that so-called company is reading this message. Be careful with any creditors or scam artists; call the company that you owe and work out a payment arrangement. Protect yourself! That is the lesson I learn and change bank accounts and credit or debit cards so that they will not be able to take any more money and press charges when they are found.

- YourMomThe place that started contacting me is Wade, Pace & Gavino Associates. They have NEVER sent me anything in the mail. They have my old name and my old address. They started calling me a couple months ago, and when they did, I asked them to send me something that contractually bound me to this debt (which I know nothing about). They said they would e-mail it, but all they sent was a letter from their office stating an amount due, not the original creditor, original amount or anything that legally attached me to said debt. I called them back and let them know that I need a copy of the original signed contract. They said they didn't have to provide this. Like hell you don't! That's the law, baby. You don't have to pay for a debt if you've never been shown proof that the debt is yours. Even if they take you to court, no judge in the country is going to enter a judgment against you without proof.
As I never received anything by mail, I didn't bother sending them a debt validation letter or a cease and desist. In fact, they would not provide me with an address to do so. So after a couple rude back-and-forths with them and some harassment of my family (I REPEATEDLY asked them not to call the other number they had for me and to only call me), I thought, you know what? This is going nowhere. This is bogus. IGNORE.
So I did. And then the other day, they started back up again: Call me. Don't get me? Call my family. Only this time, it's a different place. The ID shows up as "Mediation Firm," but they identify themselves as Risk Management Investigative Services. I ignored again. But then they called again today. My family member got pretty crappy with them because she's tired of their attitude and knows it's bogus, too. So the lady from RMIS told her, "that's fine, we'll just send this to the magistrate." MAGISTRATE?! What in the world? Are we in Mother England??
They have violated the FDCPA so many times I don't know where to begin. I think the woman on the phone, "Renee Bradley" (like that's her real name), just ASSUMED she was speaking to me when it was really my family member and gave indication that this was about a debt. She did nothing to confirm who she was speaking with. In fact, she was told that I didn't live there. So GUESS WHAT, RENEE. Even if this was a real debt, you broke the law. They are also misrepresenting themselves, because I guarantee you RMIS and WPG&Assoc are the same company. For your viewing please, please peruse their websites:

Look similar?? Note that they are both created with Intuit Small Business software. Note that both addresses are in Atlanta. When they call, they spoof their number. The caller ID leads me to believe they are in my state at times. ILLEGAL! Don't let them scare you, don't send them any money. They are full of it. Anyone who flat-out refuses to send you proof of the debt is blowing smoke.
So go ahead, "Renee". Send me to the MAGISTRATE (we call it a "judge" 'round these parts). I'm sure he'd love to hear about you guys via a counterclaim. The FTC, BBB and the attorney general would probably love to hear about you, too.- Caller: Wade, Pace, Gavino & Associates/Risk Management Investigative Services

- TracyThey called me and I actually gave my card number because they scared me saying they were going to garnish my wages over a debt from 2006. I spoke with a lawyer and he said the debt was past the statute of limitations and not to pay them anything so I cancelled my card. I got a call from them when they did not receive payment and I told them what my lawyer said and the lady said we will be in touch and hung up. DONT PAY THEM ANYTHING!!!
