- LisaI too have been receiving calls from this number. It is an automated message saying a personal banking matter and to contact Wells Fargo. I do not do business with Wells Fargo. I called the numbeone hung upr and it asked for a 16 digit acct #...of course not having one I stayed on the line, it then went to a customer service rep...heard nothing but background voices and chatter then the phone hung up...very sketchy! I contatced Wells Fargo and am waiting for a call back, I will post what they say. In the meantime Beware!

- CarolReceived a call from and a voice mall was left from a british sounding women's voice saying that they have an urgent personal business matter to discuss; not a sales call and were calling from World Financial Network National Bank.
It was a legitimate call in my case. It was for a misplaced/unpaid Maurices bill. I believe that many times these companies work for more than one business and that is where it can get confusing. They should definately not being asking for anybody's credit card number or SSN. They should know what account they are calling for. I did not call them; I simply figured out that I had not paid my Maurice's bill, went online to my account (which is operated by World Financial Network National Bank) and paid it online.- Caller: World Financial Network National Bank
- Call type: Debt collector
- JenniferIt is from World Financial Bank and they are a scam.
- Caller: World Financial Bank
- ConcernedI too have a maurices card but am not late on the payment. When they called me today, it went straight to voicemail. A woman with a British accent said to call world financial network national bank, which is real( maurices uses that). I called and when asked to put a 16 digit code in, I was confused. My acct number is only 10 digits. I hung up. If they knew it was for that acct, the only one I have thru wfnnb, then they would have asked for 10 digits instead of 16. Seems really sketchy to me!! Do not even bother to call. Definatly a scam!!!

- katydid replies to illinoisThis just happened to me! British accent...I couldn't find a pen fast enough to write the phone number down, so I didn't catch the area code. But it did end with "this is not a sales call." I went online to check my online bank accounts just to make sure everything looked okay and it was...weird. I didn't call them back either.
- Whoops! It is not a scam. It is for a late payment for Maurices.
Not EVERYTHING is a scam guys.- Caller: World Financial Network National Bank
- jnelsonif you owe someone money you will get a bill before you get a call. any number starting with (877/809/866) (3 of many) are scam numbers and have been verified -- beware !!! if they say they are Maurices, etc - they should be able to tell you your info rather than ask for it!
- ksmithCalls from 877 223 6701 being received in central Indiana now. Return call answered by machine, wanting me to input a 16 digit number account number. It didn't specify credit card company, store name, etc.
- nicI have been getting these calls weekly, and when I ignore the calls they leave me a voice mail asking to call them back at the 877-223-6701 number. "This is not a sales call"...bull! Saying they are from World Financial Bank calling about a "personal" matter. I figure its a scam but I am tired of getting these calls.
- wtessI received a call from this number. Message was hard to understand. Message this is not a sales call and to call back to 877-223-6701. I will not call back I figure its a scam from all the posts on here.

- RsilverywayBeen getting calls from this number for a few days. Comes up as all 0's when they call. They leave a vm telling me to call the 877 number back. Asks for my 16 digit card number on automated system, I press zeros and get an middle eastern sounding man who wants my phone number, name, full address etc... I don't give him my address and ask why he's calling. He "assures" me that he is with comenity bank and that he has to verify all of this info to be able to pull up my account. I tell him I'm not verifying anything or giving him any more information until he tells me why they are calling… And I hang up.
- Caller: "Comenity bank"

- B-Edwards replies to TrudyIf they called you, wouldn't that mean they had your phone number? Can't be much of a bank, or much of a scammer!
