They call and hung-up and or they ask for you to verify your name and SS #
But they never tell you the name of the company nor do they give you a name of whom their looking for.

Called and asked for my wife by first name.  Said they were from 'the board of education' and wanted her to call back.

they are a dept collection .. progressive financial services who have debts from student loans unpaid from B. O E
at least that is my understanding..

This is Progressive debt collector for GSLs.  I know becuase I owe money.

total scam about unpaid debt to get your ssn. why can't some govt agency deal with these people. same number being used for over a year.  Good thing they are not terrorists but heaven help us if the terrorists get this smart.
Govt cannot protect us only take rights away in name of protecting us.

Caller said they were from progressive financial services.  The person they were looking for had the same last name has ours....refused to take our number off their list. Did not believe us when we tried to tell them, We are not the party they were looking for.  Should I turn this number into the DO Not Call List?  Would they stop calling?
