took 9.70 from my credit card, don't know who they are, can't get an answer at the number or a name for the business.

I did not have a call, but I had also had $9.70 taken from my Debit Card.. the name said "World Trade"  my bank gave me this information:

Phone: 877-225-8813 State/Province: CA

Merchant Type: 4816 - Computer Network/Information Services

After 3-4 calls I got a real person.  He asked for the date of transaction and the name of the company.  I told him the date (a few days ago) and "World Trade", he asked for my zip code I said I didn't trust him.  He spoke with a russian/slavic accent and sounded like he was recovering from a week long bender, and like he'd taken a few calls like mine.  He said that they sell usb drive, memory cards, etc.  I said I hadn't bought anything like that.  He asked for my phone number which I did give.  He said they would refund the money in 3-4 business days.

I will have my bank working on this too of course.

Same deal for me, a charge of $9.70 showed up on my debit card saying WORLD TRADE and the telephone number (877)-225-8813. This is all that came up when I googled it. I tried calling once, but gave up. I'm gonna try to go to the bank about it, but of course they're closed for the holidays. Oh well. Seems pretty sketchy if you ask me.

What happenning somebody do the same thing, with my master card. every body this is a fraud. Alert every body.

This World Trade Company also took $9.70 out of my account , got to talk to some one told me it was a on line order for memory, I did not order any memory from any on line memory company and are wondering how they are getting credit card numbers. I was told that a credit would be prossed in 3 days? I  wish I knew how they are getting every bodys numbers so they could be stoped from charging and maybe getting our information on line and stealing ID'S

The World Trade Company charged me $9.65 as well.  I have no earthly clue how they got my credit card number.

I got to talk to some one and was told a refund would be be given on this memory ! I never placed a order with them, I am having my card deactived and a getting a new one . What is real strange is how did they get my card number and maybe not everybody checks the on line bank statements and only find out their id has been stold and all their money is gone!  By the way did you get the ZIP Code of that address? Saw the charge on the credit card bill ($9.65).  Had to try the number several times to get an answer...it sounds like it forwards to a foreign telephone (anyone else notice the strange "ring" sound?).  Guy with accent asks me the amount, date, name of company, my last name and zip.  I provided that.  He then asked for the last 4 digits of the credit card, which I declined to give.  
I have no idea how they can look it up with the information I gave, but he said a credit would be issued within a few days.  He gave me the "shipping address" where the order was allegedly sent (some 400-500 miles from where I live).
I did shop on ebay around the time of this transaction, and paid using a different method (paypal, and my purchase amount was higher).  I wonder if there is a connection.

They took 9.75.  I called the bank to make them aware of the fradulent charge. They made me feel like the criminal.  Deactivated my card, closed my account, and the bank is having me sign a affadavit that those charges were made fradulently.  called the 877-225-8813 several times. No answers.  Thankfully, the bank deposted the money.

They got 9.65 from me.  Posted to my account 11/28/07.  My bank transaction looks like ths:
CHECK CRD PURCHASE 11/27 WORLD TRADE 877-225-8813.

I don't know these people and didn't buy anything from them.  Sounds like a scam!!

Thought I'd follow up with everyone.  I called on 11/25 and the credit was indeed issued on 11/27.  
My guess is that they are just hoping that many people would not notice.
It's still creepy.

Just got me for $9.70. The only halfway scary transaction that I have done lately was one of those internet credit report things. They charged me $14.75 but on my statement it says that they are also using a CA address like this World Trade crap. Has anyone else used a credit or debit card lately to get their credit score? Maybe that's how they are getting our info.

I rec'd this charge as well. I called my bank the day it showed by in my account and the day that is actually posted to my account. The Bank stating the shipping address and zip code did not match mine. The Bank opened a claim and closed my debit card. (I've had this same bank card # for YEARS and YEARS) I've also signed up for the credit monitoring program my bank offers.

Sounds Like the same person that I talked to yesterday for World Trade Loc. My bank took the charge off of my account immediately. I was hit with Fabri-Tex just days earlier. The two are somehow connected, and it might a result of the big deal with Certegy, who had an employee steal and sell consumer credit card, bank account info, name, date of birth, and phone numbers. He was seen in court, got a $500,000.00 fine and jail time.  I read that he made $580,000.00 profit from the sale of the information to various companies. It affected over 8.5 million people and all of us who were affected were SUPPOSED to get a letter many months ago, but I surely never got one.

My check card was used for $9.70 by WORLD TRADE 877-225-8813 on 12/6.  I never ordered anything from them, never heard of them, never passed out my debit card number to anyone.  I alerted my bank, closed my account, and opened a claim.  Bummer!

Did not get a call but this list came up in a search for this number that was on my statement - charged $9.65 to me.  Called my bank and they had the merchant listed as "Golden Entertainment" - bank is sending me the paperwork to dispute the charge.

I just got hit with a charge or 9.65 --  I've called my bank and I've called this world trade number.  This is terrible.  Definitely ID theft.
