Karen - 5 Nov 2007This number called twice my cell phone. I checked the number in google and it appears to be owned by Chase/Bank One. I am Chase customer, but don't know why they called.

beccychelle - 16 Nov 2007I am a chase customer too but don't know why'd they call?! My account is in good standing. They've called twice and unfortunately I've missed it both times. I wish I could catch it to find out. If someone knows what they are calling for, let me know!! :)

It is possible that during the process of setting up your online CHASE/Bank One account that you put a check mark in one of the boxes to be notified by phone. For example, I have it remind me that a payment is due, a payment was paid, or if someone has tried to make an unauthorized purchase.
You can view your online notifications and uncheck anything that might be checked for phone notification. Or you can save the number as a new contact so that it is recognized the next time.

Jazz Chiq - 14 May 2008I know why they call. I am a customer of Chase credit cards. This number calls me three days before my payment is due. They call me again one day after I make an online payment to let me know the payment has posted. I signed up for this service and these are the only times they call.

emc - 7 Nov 2007These people have been calling my elderly mother 2 to 3 times a day for over 6 weeks. It is an automated call and she cannot tell them to stop calling. She does not have any business with Chase at all. They are upsetting her every time they call. She is on the No CAll list. We have reported it to the Attorney General no call list, but they are still calling. I hope someone can make them stop.

Danny D - 27 Nov 2007You can sign up for an option to have Chase Bank contact you when certain instances occur with your account. Such as, a direct deposit was made, balance dropped below a certain ammount, a transaction over a certain amount was made, etc. I think there are options on the web site to adjust these settings. I just happend to forget that I signed up for it, but when I googled and realized the number was from Chase, I remembered what it was in regard to.

Msglovely - 22 Apr 2008I work for Chase and its not necessarily and Chase bill collection. It could also be notification or an alert set up by the accountholder on Chase.com. I get them whenever I have a debit of a certain dollar amount from my account and other preset alerts that "I" set up.

Pissed - 7 Jul 2008I have never been a Chase (or BankOne) customer, and never plan to be. I receive a computerized call daily informing me that some putz has exceeded his/her limit. I'm being called on a new number issued by Verizon, so I'm not sure who is more at fault, Chase, Verizon, or the individual who used to have the number. Either way, I have called Chase three times and have been assured each time that the problem has been taken care of. nonetheless, the calls continue.

I called the number back, told them the situation, they apologized and deleted the number from their system.
