I also just received a call today and no message.

I get calls from this number once a week.  Thinking of blocking them - leave a message or leave me alone.

After asking who was calling, a lady said that she was from the Breast Cancer Society.  When I asked that they take me off their list, she hung up on me.

These people called twice. Once trying to get me to do a survey for a free bahama cruise. sounds nice but this is a scam. Then they called and left a message "This is the last chance for a free cruise to the bahamas. this is a once in a lifetime opertunity." Ya right this is the last chance to get your money stolen or worse your idenity. dont give these people your ss number your birthdate or your mothers maiden name. once they get that the damage could be bad if not worse you could be arrested.

they said they are from the daibetic assocation but caller id says 800 service then another number calls 603-214-9042 to ask to do a survey

got called from this number. i use the latest model of panasonic that has block feature which u don't need to pay for from the phone company.

Please place me on your "DO NOT CALL' list, asap.  I have been bothered by these nusiance calls and ask that you stop calling,Barbara Gewalt

You can register for free on: donotcall.gov  {National do not call list} or google it and it will take you there.

Calls early on Saturdays. Claims to be from various charities. Hangs up on you if you tell them you do not make any donations by phone. I have blocked them using my Panasonic phone.

Unfortunately charities do not have to follow he DNC list rules

It was pretty cool.  I actually picked up, and it was a proactive phone sex scheme.  I was able to lure them into five free minutes by telling them I needed a sample.  The lady was really hesitant at fist without me giving her a credit card number, but I held out until she told me how she lost her virginity to a trucker at a laundry mat along side the highway.  I was pretty much done by the end of that and didn't need anymore stories, so I figuratively stiffed her by not giving her my credit card and hung up as she screamed at me over the phone.  Honestly, I wish they would call back as I could go for some more, but for some reason they won't.

Several calls recently.  Can hear call center noises in background, but no message left.

This company identified themselves as AC ______ they were soliciting for funds for Breast Cancer, they were registered with the MA Atty General.   Woman asked if I could help.   I agreed and she told me the envelope amounts were 30/40/50.00 could I do one of them and once I received the envelope could I mail it back within 7 days....I agreed then she said her supervisor would confirm the conversation.   Supervisor comes on and asks to record the conversation, ok.  Then she says which card will you be using today MC, Visa or Debit card........I told her I was asked about an envelope and had no intention of giving her any credit card numbers.  She said what about your debit card, you have one don't you.   I told her this is a scam and NEVER call back again!   This call was at 10:30 am 17 Apr 2011.....approximately 1 hour later THEY CALLED BACK!

They also just called me on April 7, 2011 2pm central time.  "Breast Cancer Society"
A scam of course.  DO NOT EVER GIVE MONEY TO PEOPLE WHO CALL YOU.

I always research the callers after I get these fundraising calls and every time they turn out to be a scam.
It sickens me that so many generous, gullible people are duped by these despicable, greedy people.
They are probably the same rich "business owners" who claim to be job creators and want more tax cuts from all of us on top of their scamming income.

If the Caller ID was "AC ______" it was probably Associated Community Services. They are a telemarketer that raises money for charities but keeps most of it for themselves.  By claiming to represent a charity (and making occasional donations) they can bypass the do not call list and coerce gullible people into donating.

these people called me. it was a woman. I asked her who was calling and she said "is this Mrs.________"  i replied "no" then she asked if it was the ________ residence and i told her yes. Finally, she asked if she was speaking to someone under the age of 18. I replied, "Yes, but who is calling?" then she said that they would just call at another time and i said "WAIT! WHO IS CALLI-" but they hung up. I asked them three times who was calling, but she didnt respond. this is obvsously a company that is a scam and doesnt want their identity to be known. DONT ANSWER ANY CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER! IT IS A SCAM AND THEY JUST WANT MONEY! my friend got a call from these people, and they offered her family a free paid trip to Disney and Orlando, and that the family would ride first-class, but when the family asked who the persons boss was, the person just said, "its ok, you can call us back again later.." these people are idiots.

When I answer the phone,you know what I do? 7" I LIFT IT UP AND PUT IT DOWN ",just like the guy who almost got the job at the Planet Fitness.

Scam! These people profess to be from the Breast Cancer Society. When I told them I already donated directly they tried to tell me that this is a different branch. Scum of the earth! So annoying. They keep calling even though I told them to stop.

Do not call list does not preclude non-profit organizations from calling, they are exempt.  You must request directly to the organization calling to be removed from the list.

I don't blame her.
