Calls for someone who doesn't live here up to 25 times per day. Asked them to please stop harassing me and they said they weren't and they wanted to talk to the individual. They wouldn't believe the individual didn't live here and continued calling.

constant calls threating letigation if their call isn't returned. calls any time of day and nite. i thought there is a federal law outlining the time frame when solicitors can call!!!! does anyone know for sure? oh, they talk very fast so you cant catch anything but the phone number and extension.

It seems like a commercial, it's always a recorded message saying "This is the office of Skat Winzer (I'm not sure of the spelling, but pronounced that way). Please return your call at 1-800.. [insert number]" I've had them constantly calling, but this was the first time by this number.. It gets annoying but I didn't get any threats.

Don't pay any attention to the names they use because they're all fake. This call is from a crooked collection agency in Rochester, NY called Mercantile Adjustment Bureau, LLC. the man that call and ask for holly my baby setter did not know me by my frist name.  and he call back and told her he talk to holly a week ago at this number. she hungup on him he call back she thy to tell him I cam home about that time and took the phone he call me a f...? stupid and theatensd me
told me he would have the law to come pick me up he also try to get me to write a hot check to paid a debt.  I told him I did not have that much money and he told me to postdate the check. I told him I did not know  if I could have that much money by the due date on the postdate check.he told me to write the check and send it anyway. I told him I would not right a check not knowing if I had the money to cove the check or not

They continiously call at all hours including holidays. Constant messages on my voice mail it is getting to be ridicilicious I want them to STOP calling.THey refuse even when being told to do so.

couple months ago this number was calling my cell phone alot. I finally answered it. After questioning this person he said that he would take my number off of their information database. Well it stopped for about 6 weeks now they are at it again. Funny thing is they will call on Sunday and leave a message with a different number, yet you can not get them on neither.

I will not answer my phone to them.

These guys call everyday. Finally called them and asked to stop calling as I have no knowledge by letter what the matter is about. They are very rude, started yelling until we both hung up.

Repeated calls from a recording saying that this is not a sales call--please call the Mercantile at this number.(I called this number from my cell phone and asked what the Mercantile is--the man at the number asked what my home phone number was. I would not give it to him--so he said good luck and hung up.)

Scott Windsor -- typically calls at 7:30 pm or 1:30 pm.  Calls about every 12 days or so.  All my numbers are on donotcall.gov, so I keep reporting them to donotcall.gov.  They also use 716-817-6409, or at least fudge the caller id to say that.

I've only called their number once, and I asked for the name of the company, and they immediately hung up on me.

I have filed I complaint with www.donotcall.gov and advise that everyone out there do the same. The only way to stop these criminals is to file a complaint. So I advise you to go to the website National Do Not Call Registry, get your phone on their database and then these criminals call you can file an official complaint with the government and let's trust the gov will take care of them. In the past I used to argue with these criminals over the phone anytime they called, now I simply file a complaint against them with the government. Go to www.donotcall.gov

Now "Scott Windsor" is calling every 2 days.  They try to get you to call 800-466-5259.

As Clara said, use www.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx to complain, once you've registered.  Actually, you're not supposed to complain about calls within the first 31 days of being on the list.  After 31 days, though, complain about any new calls.

Since it's my cell phone, I added an entry for "Scam Artist Scott Windsor" and told it to ring silent.

I am so glad to have finally researched this online to know how all of you have handled this.  I am so frustrated.  They have switched numbers, from an 800 to an 877 and I picked up this AM after a while of being able to screen them.  I did go to the donotcall list, and I will also see if I can select the ring silent option for this number.

I also received a call from this number.  I called back and spoke with Arthur Dundt (extension 8572) who was extremely rude and annoying.  I cussed him off and hung up on him.  I called back again and managed to get some information on who this jerk was trying to reach.  I called back again and told the receptionist that wanted to talk to anyone but the jerk Aruthur.  She put me in touch with a John Williams who put a block on my number so I do not receive any more calls from them.

Perhaps you can all make a few calls to this Arthur and tell him off for a change.

What is the do not call list?  Could someone please explain this to me so that I can access it.

These people are so rude and they issues tons of threats! I have spoken to them but they continue to call my husband's job yelling at anyone who picks up the phone... what a violation of privacy!  I have filed a complaint with the BBB. (See link below)

From a guy naming himself as Michael Crawford, phone# 877-230-8414,, from Mercantile Adjustment Bureau, This guy called my personal unlisted cell phone, asking for my husband, said that  this was the # he had on file for him. ?? what? how did they get my unlisted personal cell #?  ..then when i asked, he said it concerned a debt from Wells Fargo, when i told him my husband has never had a wells fargo account, he then gave me a birthdate and partial SS# that did not match my husband, he politely said he was sorry, and we hung up.. now my question is; How did this place GET MY unlisted cell number as a contact # for some other person? and, we went thru this same crap from our home # about a year ago.. and all our #'s are on the NDNCL.

Repeated voicemails asking me to call MAB back at the 877-230-8414 number. Oddly they are not available during their own opening hours. I told on their voicemail that in accordance with the fair credit in lending act, all communication from now on needed to be writing. We'll see...
