Very weird message from caller not identifying company or person calling, saying, We have tried to get a hold of you to resolve a problem... etc. Making it sound suspicious and not at all legitimate. Asking me to call 877-241-7871. But caller ID is 201-347-4259 (unlisted) in Teaneck NJ.

This is the 2nd call I've received on my cell phone this week (1 at home). They don't say where are they calling from or what is this regarding. THe number on the caller IS is area code 905 (which is in Canada). Why would ANYONE in Canada be calling me??

Got a call from 905-413-8644 and record message said to call 877-241-7841. They are a collection company called Global Credit Collection Corp. They are attempting to collect a debt on a credit card. Citi MasterCard. They say that they are based in US but all calls come from Canada. Did not identify the Company they are with, just automated message. I guess the American People could bail the banks out so they could out source their collections. Instead of employing Americans.

Oddly enough, it didn't show up as this number at all on my phone. It just showed up as 905. They asked for my dad, claimed he listed my cell number as a contact number (I doubt it since he doesn't actually know my cell number) and left this number as their call back number. They refused to tell me what it was about citing "personal business" but did tell me to give him this number along with an extension number. They also knew his home phone number which seemed odd.

877-241-7841 calls at least once a day. Have caller I.D., But this time I was home to answer the call. The person on the other end stated it was personnel business with my other half. I asked if it was a credit card collection? He keep telling me it was personnel business and was getting angery with me because I was trying to get information from him. His name was Ray, he finally said and that my other half needed to contact him. I am tired of these calls everyday. To add to this the caller I.D. comes up with unknown name and number. Plus they hang up when the recorder kicks in.

I  recieved a message on my home machine. He didn't mention his name but said he was with Global Credit and Collections. He was trying to contact my daughter who hasn't lived with me for 25years, doesn't even live in this state and has excellent credit.I called the number back and got a message that said, " I'm away from my desk or on another line right now, please leave a message". He did not mention a company or his name. I did not leave a message, got on the computer to check this number out and this is what I found.

I have received several calls from 773-788-6506, caller ID says "Illinois Call". A female had called  12//10/12 said she was from Global ??? . I hung up on her. On 12/11/12 a male called. I would not give him info he was wanting. He finally said he was with Global Credit Collections and he was calling for CITI card. He talked so fast I could not understand him, I  asked him his name 3-4 times.  Iaasked him to spell his name.  He talked really fast and spelled  name fast: Matt Tra????.  He was asking me to give my address and last 4 of my SS# . I did not give him info.  He gave callback #  877-241-7841 x355. BEWARE !!!

Shariffe - Global Credit Collections called our family and asked for their mother.  He also called on my business cell line.  I returned his call and was PO'D that he talked to our family.  He already knew the home  and cell phone numbers for both of us. Asked him to send to me a letter why they are calling. Calling our family members is skirting the line of FDCPA law since he already has the information he needs.  He asked for SSN #  and birth date. No way would we give this information to anyone. They already have SSN DOB and drivers lic from a program Accurint.or LexNex.

Caller ID showed 678-487-8432, Conyers, GA.  Called both my home and cell numbers.  Message to call 877-241-7841, female, said there was "a matter" on her desk that maybe "I wasn't aware of."  Very heavy accent.  I doubt I will be returning the call since I could barely understand her.

Just got a call from this number. They were looking for my dad about "a file of his that they have" and if I could pass along the message. She gave me a phone number and extension. My dad doesn't even know my number nor would he give it out if he did. After reading these comments this seems like an annoying scam. It's creepy as heck how much information people can obtain about you and your family so anyone else getting these calls be careful!

I have received a call from 678 487-8432 today and it was in reference to a person unknown that they were suppose to be collecting a debt from. I told them that they had the wrong number and never to call back my [***] number!. Then! I hung up. These annoying callers have to be stopped and bought to justice. It is not right! If innocent folks can get killed doing nothing at all then desperate measures need to be taken upon those folks who are actually doing something. Something wrong! Al.

This number is for an unethical, ruthless callous collection agency. The principle's are Jeff Carew (President), Troy Moffatt (Senior VP of Operations) & Manny Zeligman (Senior VP of Human Resources). If you ever receive a call from Global Credit & Collection (1490 Denison RD Markham Ontario Canada) FILE A COMPLAINT with the Attorney General's Office. Trust me when I say they are law breakers and choose to abuse valued customers from financial institutions. Hard working American's are labelled DEBTORS and CROOKS. They are so SHADY that they lost a major client a in mid 2011 all because Global Credit & Collection committed fraud against it's "partner/client" and screwed over their employees. They do not care who they squash as long as those 3 principle parties are happy! Again, DO NOT waste anytime, just call THE ATTORNEY GENERALS OFFICE IN YOUR REGION and bring this corrupt organization down!

These people will not leave me alone. They are calling for a step family member. I've asked them repeatedly to stop but they refuse

I've gotten two calls from this entity - the incoming number does not match the number they leave, but the message they leave says they are contacting me on a "complaint", that "papers will be delivered to the home or office", and that I should call the number they leave (the 877 number here).

If they are calling your work phone number and asking for you (not calling your personal cell while you're at work), that is NOT legal.  Advise them they may refer all further calls to Attorney XYZ at XYZ phone number.  I'd bet you won't hear from them again.
