- Resident47Thanks so much for quoting from the CMS home page. Expecting some complaints to show up here? You should. CMS is another 'Buffalo Bully' collector and one of the many heads from the lawbreaking hydra that is LVNV Funding.

- GEMThese people keep calling my cell and my daughter's cell looking for her dad. We hang up when the automated message says "if you are not.......hang up". We've called them to remove our numbers. They haven't yet done so. Got another call today, but they didn't leave voice mail. I called back to ask why they haven't taken the number off. Asked how they got our numbers, and he says it was associated with a home address. I told them again it is a cell they are calling, and it is my EX husband, and me or my daughter are not responsible for his problems. We haven't been married since 2005. He said they look up numbers and someone is probably NOT reading the notes, but he will put a note on the front screen about our two cell numbers to not place them back in the que.
Seriously? They are going to call and bug us about his debts? I told him I have a three strike rule and next time, I'll take any legal action necessary to have this stop.
Oh, and when I asked if they were a collection agency, he would not confirm, but stated the company name again. I think they have to confirm if you ask them.
Ridiculous. Now I have to go monitor my report and daughter monitor hers to ensure they don't put his debts on our credit reports.- Caller: Capital Management services

I said he lives in __________ and I havent heard from him in 16 years. How did they connect my husband with my sons biological donor? Ive only known my husband for 14 years and they have never been in contact. I called them back and they said he was written down as a relative and hung up on me. WT?????

- AndreaThree missed phone calls before today. Finally, I took this call earlier, and I always answer the phone with "Hello, this is Andrea," because it's usually easier to get that out of the way first. The woman asked to confirm who I was, using my full name. When I asked what her call was regarding, she said she was looking for Raymond. I told her I don't know a Raymond, and that she must have bad information, she then asked me if I living at a certain address. This creeped me out, and I explained that it was a former address, and again asked her what her call was regarding. She said Raymond must live at that address now, and could I give her his current contact information? No, I don't know him!
Feeling creeped out and frustrated, I tried to get information from her about her company (no luck) but I did get the feeling that once they cannot contact someone, they try putting loose tidbits of information together, in my case, she looked up the address and found my (mobile!) phone number. Before I could ask her not to call my number again, she hung up on me. I hope they do not call back again.- Caller: not given

- CyberSleuthReceived a message on my answering machine looking for my husband's ex-wife (divorced in 1981); left a full spiel on the answering machine. I called back & spoke with Melanie O'Connor and told her that my husband was divorced in 1981. Then she asks me if we know where the ex lives!! Told her that he hasn't seen her since 1981 and not to call again.

- annoyedthis place (CMS-Mark or Mike) has called my my cell, my work, my husbands cell, my son, my cousin, my dad....they specifically said they looked up Verizon phone account records to get my cousin's information!!! My dad lives in another state...and they wont tell us why they are calling.. even though its supposedly for me and/or my husband! its crazy how easy it is for any person to get our private information! I have no social sites...and my address is legally hidden on court docs to protect myself and children from abusive ex... so you tell me - where does the law help if you cant get people like this to stop harassing (non-account holders) without any right! Tell me why you're calling!! or you're not gonna get anywhere...does bullying someone over the phone really make sense....seriously...its not face to face - you can hang up. I just wish they'd stop calling EVERYONE.

- JohnReceived a call this morning at 8:28 from a gentleman who asked for a person I know, but does not reside with me nor are they attached in any way to my phone number. I informed him that the person he was seeking did not have this number, nor did they reside at my residence. He began arguing with me and accusing me of, "playing games." I informed him that his attitude and aggressiveness was enough to divulge the purpose of his call. He continued arguing with me, telling me, "get a pencil and paper, and have 'her' call me." I advised him I couldn't and that he had the wrong number. He continued yelling in the phone until I disconnected the call.

- FalcoYeah, it's Capital Management. Some bloke named John called looking for a relative of mine. I told him he was violating the FDCPA with harassment, and to take my number off his call list, as the person he was looking for wasn't me, and I wasn't passing any info on to the person he was looking for either because that wasn't my job to do.

- MBThese a**holes called my mother's cell and left a message asking to speak to my sister about me! I have no idea where they got my mother's number or my sisters name, we are all unlisted and rarely give our numbers out. I myself have NEVER received a call from these people. I think its pretty ballsy of these f***ks to do things the way they do. Clearly from reading whats been written here by others I'm not the only one who has experienced this and it seems to a habit of this company. A**sholes!!!
