Both my daughter and I got calls from an unknown #. She actually answered and they gave her this number,blah, blah blah....It's obviously a scam. We tried to trace it back through the internet, yeah right. Maybe someone will be able to, with the technology and bust their a**.

I received a text message from #371-1 -- said that my visa credit card was being put on hold.  Call #877-245-1472 to find out why it is on hold.  I'm sure it would be a scam.  Not interested in finding out.

I just recieved the same message stating my credit card had a hold on it and to call 877-245-1472 to find out why, I am not calling them but will call my bank.

Phishing scamm... they will want all your personal info: card number, exp date, or even security code..

DO NOT RESPOND. THESE SPAMMERS SHOULD BE ARRESTED !!!

p.s.: If it wasn't fake, it would tell you which creditcard it was from( macy's, chevron, Lockheed, etc.)

What a bunch of crap. Using up my minutes. I just delete them. I know they're scams. I have had three this eekend with three different numbers.
All saying they are card block alerts. One using Visa.com return.

Got a text on my work blackberry at 2:15pm today: customer.notification@visa.com "Card Block Alert". to find out why you receive this alert call 1-877-245-1472. Thank you.  

Obviously a SCAM since the message is not even in the proper tense...should be received not receive...DO NOT RESPOND!!!

At 2:45PM PDT on 8/2/09 I received the "Card Block Alert".  I dialed it and received the same questions as above...card #, expiration date...
I hung up and had a beer.

I called the number from another line just to see, and it said "The number you have dialed is not in service.  This is a recording"

Got a text from 3779 saying it was from customer.notification@visa.com/card block alert.  To find out why,  they want you to call this number.  

I knew it was a scam because I have my alerts via e-mail only.  Some people would go to any lengths to scam someone.

I ALSO RECIEVED A TEXT ON 8-2-09 AT 5:31 AND THOUGHT IT WAS WEIRD SINCE THE ONLY VISA I HAVE IS MY BANK CARD AND I HAVE THEIR NUMBER PROGRAMMED ON MY BLACKBERRY....I NEW IT WAS FUNNY SO I LEFT IT ALONE AND DID NOT CAL BACK AND LATER THAT WEEK TH 6 OCLOCK NEWS DID A REPORT ON THIS SCAM WHERE THE ASK FOR YOUR INFO.
