This was a debt collector's office, although on VoiceMail they did not leave their name; only stated "This is an attempt to collect a debt, and all information obtained will be used for that purpose". The name given was "Ms. Adams". Which, along with "Mr./Ms. West/Smith/Jones", is also typical. Who knew there were so many that were debt collectors?!? LOL!

NTI is associated with the Ticket to Work program from Social Security. It allows "disabled" persons receiving SSD to earn income to supplement their SSD payment, and to transition back into the workforce. No limit on income and an extended trial work period are offered as an incentive to workers. This income will also count towards Social Security credits. They will not be medically reevaluated during this period of work. The work includes answering calls to Social Security, working on help desk of various agencies and private companies. I do not know of any instance of NTI contracting with any collection agency.

This is NTI, NOT the Social Security Administration and most definitely NOT a debt collection agency.  NTI is a legitimate non-profit company helping disabled people, INCLUDING those receiving SSDI benefits, to work.   This number is the one they use most often when they leave important automated messages regarding either job opportunities that their clients might find beneficial OR to let clients know of important things that might affect their benefits.  They ONLY call clients and/or once in a while will contact SSDI recipients to make them aware of their program.  Being on a DNC list does not keep them from calling SSDI recipients as they are a contractor with the SSA's Ticket to Work program.

These people somehow sent me emails I did not request. I tried my ticket to work program years ago, and was hurt again due to gross, intentional negligence and not allowed an attorney in my home state. Then thrown in the ghetto and Medicaid had to pay for my 3rd surgery. When I got a call today from them from 877-248-8912 at 12:47 pm cst it showed as coming from 800 Service. Some woman said I am calling because you requested us to call as you had an interest in working from home. I said No I unsubscribed from your email and do not email me nor call me again.
Be wary and note that any positive reviews are mostly from NTI employees or their web site. I read that only 4% get decent jobs and some get grueling jobs at minimum wage. I used to be a techie, not unskilled. The company profits from the government and they are very suspect. FOLLOW THE MONEY. $$$ BEWARE

You should use your time of disability to get an education. Your English is atrocious.

The NTI needs to check the SSDI records a little better before calling.  At my place, they're trying to contact a woman who has Huntington's Disease who can't walk, can't speak, wears a diaper and needs to be spoon fed.  Why waste time on people who are 90 years old and those who are clearly not able to work no matter what they're offering????

Called the NTI back and spoke with Heather.  I stated they were trying to contact a person with Huntington's Disease who can't walk, speak and requires spoon feeding.  I asked if this number could be removed from their call list.  Heather presented herself very professionally, apologized for this intrusion, asked if there were any other numbers associated with this person, and stated they would take care of it right away.  Hopefully I won't be receiving any more calls, but if so, I'll be back on 800notes.

I got a call, called back, quickly transferred to Heather, explained that while I'd like to work SSI recipients external incomes (such as my small pension) are deducted.

The call came in around 4PM, this afternoon. I answered with Hello. Total silence on the other end. I repeated: Hello?, Hello?, Hello? Still no response, so after 15 more seconds, I hung up.
My cell phone number has been on the Do Not Call list since I've had it, for several years!
Though, I'm also on SSID: My knees collapse, and I'm disabled from the Navy with back injuries.
I can't stand or sit for too long. Probably why I'm a target on their hit list!

Sometimes collection agencies will spoof a number of a known business or company to try to fool people into answering.
