- neneThis number called me literally every 10 minutes for about an hour.....didn't leave a message.
- kmas| 5 repliesIt is a company called source receivables management who is trying to collect a debt, but only wants either free access to my credit card or bank account. They will not wait for a check in the mail or any other means of payment. Dont trust them!! A company who wants your pernission to access your bank account or credit card can not be trying to help settle a debt!

- LauraI get a call from this number at least 5 times a day. They never identify themselves, just gives a number to call them back. Sometimes they hang up at the end of my recorded message. I don't owe any money, so I don't know why they are calling....I never talk to anyone, I never answer, but they keep calling. They have even called me on weekends, before 8am and after 9:30pm. They never stop.
- LauraI get a call from this number at least 4 to 5 times a day.....every day.
I've even gotten them on weekends. Nobody will identify themselves. They just give a number for you to call them back....never says about what. I don't owe anybody any money. I don't know how to make them stop calling.- Caller: 800 service

- TerriHad this company call. Picked up the phone, gave me some message about being a collection company and it was urgent I called them back. I tried several times (busy signal) before finally getting through. They were looking for the person that must have had my phone number like 3 years ago (as I received MANY calls for her in the beginning). We will see how many times I have to report this company before they actually do remove my number from their system.

- EffiThis person or company called 2 times today and hang up. The third time I connected and told him no one lives here with this name and he hung up while I was still talking, very rude.
- dohSimilar call to others - call to collect a debt, on my cell phone which really didn't make sense. 2 calls back to them put me on hold, then eventually hung up. Never talked to anyone.

- Annoyed| 1 replyFive calls from this number just this morning, no name on caller id, no messages. YOu should all familiarize yourselves with the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act. This caller, if a collection agency is in violation of a few parts of it. First, they may only call once per day. Second, they must identify themselves, either the caller's name or the company name. It also helps if you have a telephone provider that has an online activity report of incoming and outgoing calls so that you have documentation of their calling activities. I will call them late tonight after they're definitely closed and leave my own message for them, that I have documented their calls, that they have called well in excess of that allowable by the FDCPA, that they have not identified themselves as required by the FDCPA and if they call me again that I will retain an attorney who will find out who this number belongs to, track them down and file suit against them under the FDCPA and it will not only cost them up to the maximum allowable $1,000 under the FDCPA but also for both their's and my attorneys fees.
The only way to stop unscrupulous people like this is to call them on their activities. I would recommend all readers of this do the same thing. The only way to change their behavior is to make it costly for them.- Caller: unknown
- QThis number just called my Cellwith a message saying to call them in referance to a debt collection. I just recently did a credit report and everything is in good standing. I called from a different phone, and they asked me for a referance number. I told them I did not have one, so they asked for the number that they called, I gave it to them. They said they were trying to reach a David Lewis, I told the gentleman on the phone that I have had this number for over 4 years. He apologized and said he would remove the number from their data base.
- anonThey were trying to collect a debt from Cingular/ATT phone bill from me...
- CT replies to AnnoyedThere is one thing that I despise about messsage boards is that we have "jailhouse attorneys" that post on these boards. They are very eloquent in their delivery of the facts but many times the facts are distorted by editoralizing and opinion. It is NOT against the law to ATTEMPT to contact someone more than once per day. If there is no answer, you can hang up and call again later in the day. You are not supposed to call someone after you have actually spoken with the person. I was looking up this number as well but I seldom believe much of what is written.
- anonCalled 5 times, finally leaving a message with the number. Seemed sketchy.
