- PenelopeI had a message left on my answering machine with this return number telling me they were trying to deliver a court summons for a fraudulent check charge. When I tried to return the call nobody answers. The woman said her name was Becky Smith and she wished me good luck before she hung up. Name of company when I called was ACS Offices and there was nobody to answer my call and i would not leave a message.

- IrritatedI received a call as well from this number stating that I owed 2 payday loans taken out on the same day. I spoke to Stephanie Rivers, she was actually very kind..... weird...... but told me the company was after me for the money and we would be served papers within 24 hours. I did not take out any loans nor had anything deposited in my account. It was from nearly 3 years ago. They had all of our private information. They left a message and I called back the automated service said it was ACS Offices. When I spoke to Stephanie she gave me the name of the company that was supposedly going to send us to court, again she was very polite and answered all my questions. I told her we did not owe any money and she said well if it goes to court the worst that would happen is we owe them the money due????? I will play the waiting game at this point I am sure she will call back. I called my bank and they have no record of any deposits or checks cashed around that time. I even contacted the company and they did not have any record of me taking any loans out.

- Kelly| 2 repliesChristopher Sanchez, claiming to be a State Process Server, called my home, He was looking for my son and claimed my son was being sued for writing a fraudulent check and if he did not contact them within a a few hours they would be forced to serve him with legal documents at his residence or place of business. Of course Christopher Sanchez also stated that if my son wanted to settle out of court, that would be much easier. He also wished my son "Good" Luck.

- BewilderedI got a message for my son stating they wanted to serve him with court papers from Florida on a fraudulent check charge. This company needs to be STOPPED. It is a lie and it should be against the law. The ladies name was Erin Rodriguez. Makes you wonder if they really leave their name or give you a fake name. It was ACS company, most likely a debt collector but they should not be able to lie.

- sweetcakes| 3 repliesMonica Evans from this company called me. She claimed to be a Process Server and threatened to take me to court. She stated I only had 1 hour to call her back or she would be at my work or house within that time frame with my court summons paperwork. This company claims I wrote a bad check and defrauded the State I live in with it, They don't give there name, They call with a Unknown private number and give you this 800 number to call back.. They have already violated several of the FDCPA rules and regulations way above and beyond with the way they leave a nice nasty voice mail and open ended threats, I have actually reported all the information I have from this to the FTC and hope they Stop them once and for all. I seriously believe this company to be another Scam..
- JennReceived a VM from a Tanya White claiming that she was a State Processor and that she needed to serve me with a court summons. She also contacted my cousin, in another state, leaving the same information, but adding that it was a bad check claim. Concerned about what this was about, I called the number I was given, whcih turns out to be ACS and that the person that left the message was merely a process server (probably hired by ACS). I indicated that the debt was not mine, and, when I could actually get a word in, told them to take me to court. I was transferred to a manager, which was as bad as the person that answered the person in the first place. I called back, to get an address so that I could send a letter stating I wanted validation of the debt and that request they not contact me any longer. I was told that they could not give me their address, and was hung up on twice. On the final call, they transferred me back to the "manager", who said that technically they hadn't contacted me, the Process Server had. WOW!
Still wouldn't give me address information, and was told to never call their offices again, and if I did they would file a "reverse harrassment suit" against me..- Caller: ACS

- Jack replies to KellyAlmost the exact same scenario as Kelly - Voice mail form someone with southern accent.
Said he was a Process Server for State of Texas and had a "court docket number" he wanted to serve , and had tried several times to reach my son. Siad it was pertinent to ????(count not understand him ).Then said he WILL do it at work and residence, and at the end said "You have been advised " . During his spill he also said it could be "taken care of" outside of the court but it was necessary to call 877 251 4288 IMMEDIATLY.... "
Scammers season now has begun early.....
I would think the state would just issue the warrant and then go get you (via sheriff or marshall officer) if you had not complied with previous instructions,,, I dont think they would call and warn you first if you had a warrant out on you , and then offer to settle it outside the court. - Jack replies to KellyAlmost the exact same scenario as Kelly - Voice mail form someone with southern accent.

- whatsanameCall was on my wifes Cell Phone voice message as a result of house phone being forwarded.
My son called back and they were looking for someone with the same last name but not part of our houshold. I called back subsequently and asked for Address of company so that I could send a certified complaint, and they would not give an address or other information. All they wanted was for me to repeat the case number.....I did not and certainly I was not going to give any personal details.- Caller: ACS Offices

- Dave replies to sweetcakesWe just had the exact same message left on our VM. Called local Police and News, this is definitley a scam!!!
- weesy replies to sweetcakesI got a similar message, from Monica Evans, only she left a message on my mother-in-laws answering machine, they left the message under my father in laws name, who passed away 12 years ago, I am just guessing they looked in the phone book for the town I live in, and since the number is still under his name, and that was the only listing with the same last name as mine, they probably assumed that I was related to him, and leaving personal information on a voice mail is against the law, a processer will know this, right. and with all the supposed information for and alleged fraudulant check, saying that if I didn't call back in 2 hours they are going to have a summons served to my work or home, but the number left was 877-806-5357, I guess they got found out and changed their 800 number. They also called my father, who happens to be a retired police officer, who lives on the west coast, and I live in the south. Needless to say I recorded the message left to my cell phone and forwarded it to my lawyer.
- VDsame........Agent Garcia........Trying to locate a relative of mine....ended up on an answering machine of a friend that hasn't spoken to this relative for about 17 years. Stating that they were trying to give a summons for a court appearance for fraudulent check writing. Called the number back and 8778065357 and it was a message for ACS company. This is a crazy. This company needs to be stopped. They can make someone worry for nothing. There are more things that we need to worry about.

- VALgot a call from a Emily Jennings or Jenkins claiming to be a process at the final stage. If a payment is not set up now for the full amount a state processor will come out to my job or home for my arrest. also very rude when I asked where she was, she said New York. I am in Florida. this needs to stop especially calling someone work place and leaving these types of messages on companies work phone.
I then told her then take me to court and I will let the judge no what I can pay. she told me I cannot tell a judge what to pay he can order the full amount. I advised I know my rights I use to work at a jail.- Caller: NSC

- me| 1 replyI received a private call from a Lola and a Ms Collins with the same story saying they are with Ace offices or Ace litigations and that I can pay 1300.00 or settle and pay 500.00 asked for the address and I was told for safety reasons it could not be giving to me but I can pay with a visa or debit card. they are full of it. then I get a message stating I can settle this matter or a case will be filed in court within 2-48 hours. but the first message said a summons was filed already and had I received it yet, so it is what it is
