Posing as Citi. Have a past due account, which is not possible. Asked for my Debit or Checking account with routing number. When I asked to speak to someone "Peggy" from Texas :0

This is NOT Citibank! I received same text on my cell, called it and they asked for account number. I hung up and called the real Citi number and they said they did not try to reach me. It's a scam asking for your name and credit card number.

got a text....called from a different number and verified my name and the number....then wanted DOB and last four of social but would not tell what department of CITI they are from and i refused then they hung up...I don't even have an citi bank acct.

Got a text from  877-253-7139 claiming to be from Citi. Columbus Ohio P.O.. Box183037. Don't owe Citi anything.

I just received an SMS message saying I should call this number regarding my Citibank Accounts.  Before calling, I checked my online account to ensure my account was in good standing, which it was.  I then called the number on Citibank's website which is different than in the SMS.  Citi confirmed with me that the text was fraudulent and asked for the text information so it can be sent to their fraud dept.

It's a Scam trying to get your information I also got the same message. I reported it to citibank spoof@citicorp.com. Please do the same and make thing difficult for this crooks.

I got the text claiming citibank to call this number. I called citi fraud since my cuti cards were fine. They confirmed this number was legit, as one of the retailers that they back, and offered to connect me directly. Turned out my wife accidentally paid less than the minimum on our Home Depot card. They back companies like Best Buy, so if you get this, don't assume its a scam cuz you dont directly have a citi account.

Received text message from number 70650, with the following message: "Free MSG from Citibank for [redacted]. Please call 877-253-7139 about your accounts. To end alerts reply QUIT. PO Box 183037 Columbus OH 43218"

Mine was legit. Missed some bill in the mail, they called to let me know I needed to make a payment.

Just got a text about my "accounts" with Citibank...we don't have any Citibank accounts.  FRAUD ALERT!

Received a text message from 877-253-7139 identifying itself a Citibank. I checked my Citibank account and this is NOT a number associated with Citibank.

Received a text from this number.  Identifying itself as Citibank, wants me to make a payment... No thank you!
