Ari - 25 Jul 2008I received a charge on my credit card for 9.15 and didn't know what it was for, so I called my bank and it didn't show any info other than Office Deveopment, Park Ridge, IL but no number to contact. I found this strange until the next day when I checked my acct again, a number showed up as 877-257-8146. I immediately called the number and it went right to a voice mail which was automated. I knew I never made a charge of this amount, nor did I know this company. I had to fill out a form at my bank to have the charge removed and reported as a scam. All I could think of was "what did I do that particular day that could have exposed my credit card" I did an online chat with Sprint wireless service. They offered me a free ringtone and I had to type in a code online to receive my free ringtone. That was the only type of transaction I did that particular day and the very next morning this $9.15 charge showed up on my bank statement. I called Sprint to find out if they charged me for their "online help chat session" They said no, they don't charge for free chat help. Could it be the free ringtone Sprint was offering that day? Where a second party scammer was able to gain access to my sprint account info?

Sandy - 23 May 2008I had a charge on my credit card that I did not make. When I called my credit card company, they gave me this phone number as to the person that made the charge. When I called this number, no one answered and it went straight to voicemail. I did not leave a message.

Tawna - 3 Jun 2008This number is from a "company" calling itself "Office Management". They have gotten my debit card number some how and took out $9.15 from my checking account. I called my bank and filed a claim. They are not any type of collection or real business. They are stealing people's information and taking their money.

jag - 13 Jun 2008My credit card company recognizes them as charging unauthorized charges on one's CC. They did this to me, thankfully they citi recognized it the same day. I don't know how they got my regular number since it was an online charge and i always use Virtual numbers.

Patty - 1 Jul 2008I also had an unauthorized charge to my account for $9.15. The vendor name that appeared was Office Development. When I called the 877-257-8146 number that was supplied to my bank for this charge to be deducted from my account, you go right into a generic computerized voice mail. I called my bank and had my card cancelled.

ChrisP - 9 Jul 2008Same as above. Got a $9.20 charge on my Visa debit card that appeared as OFFICE DEVELOPEMENT. Tried to call 877-257-8146 and got computerized voicemail (very cheap-sounding, broken English synthetic voice). Called my bank and cancelled my card. VISA will redund the charge. I guess that's what the scammers are counting on.

Ari - 25 Jul 2008scammers, beware of this phone number. they're charging credit cards without anyone's knowledge. I believe they received my information either through a deli I used my card at or getting a free rington promotion through Sprint wireless services. These are the only two things I did that make sense to me for my credit card info being exposed.

Mohave County - 1 Aug 2008We have also received one of these unknown $9.15 charges on one of our corporate credit cards. Same scenario as the rest of the postings. I am contacting Mastercard fraud unit to notify them of the fraudulent activity. Maybe they can shut down the merchant account.

Atlanga, GA - 17 Aug 2008I've had the same $9.15 taken out as well. I've been reading that this has happend to A LOT of people and i'm not sure why the banks/credit cards have not shut them down yet but hopefully they will be arrested in time.
Thankfully, i check my bank statements every other day and set specific alerts for them. The account that they hit is one that i never use so... bingo... 100% fraud alert right there!

It's been 4 months since the first post about this scam on this website and it seems they still haven't been caught. They need to be arrested!
