For me, it was a number given to me by a company claiming to be called 'check security.'  They said they were representing Boulevard Cash and that I needed to call them to resolve 'a' debt, or else they were going to file legal paperwork and I would be served.  When I called the number, I was given another number to call.  When I explained to that caller that I called the number specifically given to me, to contact in order to find out what this debt was all about, she insisted that she was the 'wrong department' that they 'couldn't help' and that I had to call the other number.  Fishy for sure.

IF you did not receive WRITTEN notification of a debt (if you really do owe someone), ignore the call.  You must be notified in writing.  Phone calls, emails, or faxes do NOT count.  You will not be served and you can not go to jail (a common threat).  If in doubt, contact your local courthouse.  They can tell if you have a CIVIL charge against you.

This place calls my job non - stop. I told them I am going through another company to get my loan paid off and they tell me that they do not accept that. The lady on the phone was very rude and wants me to do a "hardship transaction" with them. I couldn't explain anything to her she kept cutting me off. I ask her to mail me a copy of my statement and she told me since I did it on the Internet it has to go through the Internet. WTF??!! I am very frustrated and sick of this. I know I'm the dumbass that took out this loan but I was in over my head and got help but they don't want to hear that!!

They called four times just this week. Don't give them any info. They are rude and make demands that are questionable.

Extortion Scam Related to Delinquent Payday Loans

    Washington, D.C.
December 07, 2010  FBI National Press Office
    (202) 324-3691

The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.

According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started.

The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim’s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims’ relatives, friends, and employers.

    Leave Me Alone
Boulevard Cash/ Bayside Cash, keeps calling my employment harassing me every day.
After I found out Boulevard Cash, were not license to do loans in Tennessee. Tennessee also does not allow installment loans from those types of companies, which is the one I got. You can only get payday loans which have to be paid by or on the next pay check. They also were charging more than Tennessee interest rate.  I was informed that I could pay what I borrowed plus the Tennessee interest rate, which I did since I did borrow the money back on 9/30/2013. I was also told that I didn’t have to pay anything since they was not licensed in Tennessee.  I also reported them to my local state government that sent my information to the Federal Trade Commission (Consumer Financial Protection Bureau), which gave me the run around. But Boulevard Cash still harassing me at my home, employment and emailing me about $860.00 interests that they put on a $450.00 loan. Which I paid $490.00.

Below are email addresses and telephone numbers and they even using local numbers:
Sandi Chadd (sandic@blvdcash.com), Adams Swanson (adams@blvdcash.com),
Regina Dunbar (reginad@blvdcash.com), Talisha Muhammad (talisham@blvdcash.com),
Lauren Rhodes (laurenr@blvdcash.com), Ryan Albright (ryana@blvdcash.com),

    Frustrated
I've emailed Blvd Cash to settle my debt because they were continually calling my phone. Nobody will ever talk to me the way debt collectors do, they don't want to settle they just want to harass. They even called my reference harassing her. Ryan left a message that he was going to call my work to verify that I have employment. He better not! I sent them an email to pay have my debt but they never answered my email. They have drained by checking account and that's way you can never pay them off!
