Call your phone company immediately and have them block third party charges.

I worked for a small company in New Bern NC and received a call from this company to "update" the listing for the phonebook.  I was asked the usual name address and phone # and that was it.  Come to find out it was not phone book related at all.  They charge $49.95 per month, $600.00 in resturant discounts and $50.00 monthly for dining gift certificates.  Needless to say I lost my job over this.  
I hate these telemarketer callers and mostly do not answer unknown #'s.

What can I do to atleast clear my name if nothing else comes of this?
