Uses a bevy o,f numbers: 484-956-8669, 877-271-8669, 888-337-8875, 610-337-8875. A man identifies himself as William North and simply ask for a return call, no explanation of why or what it is in reference to. William North works for a collection agency by the name of Eastern Revenue Inc., it's a collections call. He's also a sneaky douche, he likes to leave messages saying he has a great opportunity for you... he doesn't. I called late-night on Christmas to ensure he'd be out, and got his voicemail which, if it's an "emergency," directs you to call the "main office" (he gives the number). Internet search shows that the company who's voicemail you then reach, Eastern Revenue Inc., is a collections agency... the 8669 number is on their site.

William North is a nasty, nasty individual.  I've got a debt, who doesn't? And I decided to do the "right" thing and answer the call from a person who works for him, Tina Moore.  She was a decent person and treated me with respect and didn't get all pissy with me when I point-blank told her I don't have any money, but I'd be willing to try to work something out.  Honestly, she was pretty cool, especially given the circumstances.   But, she had to have me speak with her manager who is this William North guy.  This guy was a total [***].  I told him I'd could come up with a hundred dollars next week - no, its not much, but it's what I can do.  He told me that it was no good and he couldn't accept that payment.  wtf.  So I got angry at him and told him it was [***] that a hundred dollars wasn't worth jack....and he hung up on me.  So I called him back.  I asked why he hung up and he said, "You used profanity and I don't need to hear profanity."  I apologized and asked why was it that my money wasn't good enough for his company.  I don't quite remember his answer, but I know it infuriated me.  I said I understood it wasn't much to pay against my debt, but at least I was willing to try to pay.  He told me to ask my parents for money because he was "sure" they could pay off my debt.  (Its about 5,000 dollars)  Right.   He said he'd paid for his 3 kids' college education so he was sure my parents could pay my debts.  I congratulated him for being such an upstanding father.  He told me to talk to my parents and call him within 24 hours and we could "make a deal."  Uh,  no thanks, [***].
We got to arguing - I forget about what, but I told him he wasn't worth talking to.
I won't be speaking with him EVER again and I could give a [***] about my debt at this point.  I'll take care of it when I can and with someone who would actually be willing to work something out.

I just had my first call from these people.  Dealing with Matt Cooper was not bad at all...then he threw this [***] William North on the phone who began screaming at me stating I am refusing to pay my debt because I couldn't cough up $3k at this very moment. He wants full payment by tomorrow at 4...broke college grad here that supports herself and doesn't have much more than a shoe string to live off of after they have been sending mail to the wrong address for over a year...

This clown, William North calls and says "this is Mr. William North, return my call at -----."  Am I supposed to shiver when this idiot calls?  I guess we all tremble when Mr. North calls.  Look you moron, and I know you read these blogs, if you would be professional and explain the reason for your call, maybe we would answer you or call back.  Until then, pound sand you a**hole.  Don't threaten either, unless there is a court order signed by a sitting judge, your bulls**t is just that...BULLS**T!

This used to be NCO Financial. Now called Eastern Revenue. They are debt collectors. Caller Mark Styles (or Stiles?) called from 484-956-8683, requested call back to 877-429-0630. Calling me @ work & left message for me via the phone # of a co-worker. They used to be big in defaulted student loan collections, but I think this guy is after me for $100 penalty when I switched to Viridian from my old electrical supplier before term was up, 2-3 yrs ago.

I received a call from "William North" this morning. He said "Hi MR. & Mrs .... Please return my call. I called and got his voice mail which said it was the office of William North. In my opinion, if yoiu can't say what company you are with you must be shady. I am current on all loans so he has no business calling me, if he works for a collection agency.

Got a call from "William North" yesterday. Called back today and yes they're a collection agency for student loans and tuition bills. I have one of each lol. Turns out that 1 of my 18 student loans was in default and i owed 350 from a bs class i dropped 10 years ago. I really didnt know thats why i couldnt get my transcripts for my new job....anyway paid the bill and he's  helping me consolidate my loans with the Dept of Ed. Now instead of 18 loans ill have 1(thank you Jesus!!!!) and I'm getting my transcripts. He did sound like a dick, but in the end Im getting what i want. Take it for what its worth. And I def dont work for them lmao.

I would be curious as to why you would look up a number when you know who it belongs to.  What mI have found out about these cretins is this.  They have no contract with the Department of Education to collect on student loans:  https://studentaid.ed.gov/about/data-center/b ... llection-agency   (look in the drop down list).
There are 2 Eastern Revenue Corporations in PA, both formed in 1989 but listing different owners.  Going by the web site of this company, it appears to be the one formed in December of 1989 owned by Kyle M Shanahan and Larry M. Goldman.  So unless you asked for a debt validation, they might not even be allowed to collect on this debt nor would they be able to "consolidate" the loans.

There are many restrictions on when a student loan is classified as "in arrears".  Perhaps you should do a little more homework before just simply agreeing to pay someone something because they called you.  The CFPB now has jurisdiction over student loan collectors so you might want to check this out:  http://www.consumerfinance.gov/
