If you are referring to NR & Associations, they are a great company that got me a settlement offer and saved me a lot of money. I spoke to Heather; I knew I owed my bill and how much was owed, she saved me over 9,000.00 on my debt. They do have laws and regulations to go by.

I hate these people & anyone like them.  Ms Smith can jump off a cliff for all I care, so long as she stops calling me.  Mr Stewart can join her.  I don't do business with you fools & I've told you a couple times to stop calling me.  In this country, no means no!  Please take the time to report these morons at https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx.  Please report their their toll-free number AND the landline number they are hiding behind.  Don't let them get away with this!

Ms. Appletree doesn't identify her business so I consider this to be a PIA solicitation.  I am not late on any payments and don't appreciate these harassment mystery calls!

I had received 2 calls from them, both went to voice-mail. They sounded prerecorded because they were the exact same message, telling me it was of an urgent matter and it is imperative that I call them back at this 877 number even though both times they called from a different number making that a total of 3 different numbers. I called each number and got 'The desk of Mr. Stewart' but now that I know it's a scam I'm going to either be very rude when i pick up or ignore it altogether. I haven't quite decided...

Has called several times stating its important to call them back. Called back and wouldn't identify WHAT exactly their business does. They asked for the number I received their call from and I deferred saying that I don't want to give out that info. I then asked if they offer some kind of service or products and again was told the name of the firm.... NR ASSOCIATES. No details on what they do. The lady hung up saying she would just keep calling the number they have on file.

Got a call from a Mr. Paduka who said it was in my best interest ot talk to him. When pressed for specifics, he would not give any specifics at all unless I could verify I was the party he was seeking. Of course I didn't go along with this since he wouldn't state his business openly.

The number that came across the caller ID was 253.348.2763. NRA smacks of a scam and they need to be shut down.

Got a call this morning.  They are spoofing so that it looks like they are calling from a local phone number.  He started off by saying he is in the prelegal dept in attempt to scare me into thinking they were going to sue me.  It is from a debt from 1999.  I laughed and told him it is past SOL and it was illegal for him to insinuate they had any legal authority.  He started double talking and then saying it is a 1099 matter.  Also wrong and illegal.  Do not pay these people a thing.  They have so many complaints against them with the Attorney General in NY.  They are bottom feeders who buy old debt for pennies on the dollar and then try to illegally intimidate people into paying them.

Thank You, GOOGLE!!! Debt collectors are using every tactic now, it seems they would at least change their scripted calls. This number will be blocked too.

Got a scripted spoof call, used a local (Philadelphia) number for an 877 number. was breaking up so either it was a BAD scripted machine OR person was calling on a cell phone.....SHADY!!! And as with the ones I have seen above. When a debt gets near the SOL, these slugs buy it and try to get you to pay 1/2 or a 1/4 of it, even if its PAST the SOL, they still try!  LOSERS!

    Think-twice
They are a bunch of bottom feeders that prey on people that do not know the law.  Every state has a satute of limitations on the time that a debt can be collected.  When these lossers are calling you because they have sometimes purchased the debt but more often then not they have checked public records and have founded an expired judgment that is no longer collectable. Then they put on an act to the debtor that this is a very important matter and if you do not pay they will have to turn it over to their legal department for further action.  Do not pay them a cent.  If they could collect it they would file legal papers and do it the right way.  Believe me on this as they can do nothing to you.  Please pass this along to others so we can help others that might get caught up in this scam.  I am a retired attorney, and I HATE TO SAY THAT as I am ashamed of the profession now as most attorneys are just out to make an easy buck.  It is sad but true.  There was a time when they helped others but for the most part that is no longer true.  PLEASE pass this along to everyone possible so we can help other American's fight these low life slug's.  I wish everyone the best of luck in these tough times.  "Think-twice" before you give up your money.

I took NoThankYou's advice and filed a complaint on the Dont call registry with these people. They called friends of mine and tried to tell them they were involved with my debt somehow, SO YES, they are as think-twice above said, BOTTOM FEEDERS who are trying ANYTHING to collect a few bucks form expiring OR expired debts. They told me they were a law firm....WRONG!

Don't fall for these people, they are nothing but scammers!

I have to agree with the rest of the posts, this is a scam by a group attempting to collect old debt and scare people into giving them their money.  My caller said she was Mrs. Baker and that she was given my phone number as a point of contact for an extremely urgent matter.   First of all, common sense should kick in when you hear a message like this.  A person calling about an EXTREMELY urgent matter would say what the urgent matter was so you would be able to make a decision about calling them back.  Secondly, if it is a legal matter, you have the right to due process.  It is one of our over 150 liberty rights and it states that you have the right to know who is suing you and why.  You are to be told in a timely manner so that you have time seek counsel and to prepare before you go to court.  And it will be in the form of a document with a Court designation at the top.  A phone call is not one of the ways this document can be served to you and anyone who says otherwise is dishonest.  Do not be tricked into dealing with people that feed off of other people's misfortune.

Hey all, I got calls from this company as well and the original message stated that it was a call for a reference.  When I called them back, they were wanting to speak with my mother, with whom I am PoA for.  They were very sketchy and wanted me to have her call back a different number to give them permission to speak with me.  DEBT COLLECTORS CAN NOT DO THIS! It is illegal for them to share your debt info with anyone but the person who owes the debt.  I work for a major Credit Card company and started thinking that this may be one of those calls... I advised that he would have to give me information before I would have a senior citizen call a random number and advised I was aware of the laws because I work for a major credit card company, he hung up on me..... SCAM!!!!!!!!!!

I just received a call from this number on my cell then when I didn't answer that because I was at work they rang my office number they asked me to verify the last four of my social and to my recollection your social security number is not to be used for identification so I proceeded to ask them who they were and why they were contacting me at my office. They would not give me any information except for well it was a number that must be a sign to the account I asked them what account they couldn't give me any answers and when they finally got tired of me asking them questions right back at them they told me that I didn't need to be rude I told them I wasn't being rude that I was simply asking questions she finally said that when I was over being rude I could call them back do they really think I will ever call them back. Hard to believe I spent that many years in the military protecting American rights for butt wipes like this.
