Got a call from a "collection agency". They left a recording on my voice mail asking to call back because they have an important matter to discuss with me. I called twice but was put on hold every time. 20 minutes on hold, and they lost me, I am not returning these calls again. They called again earlier today. How do I get removed from their list?  

I got the same thing, and no answers. Are they a collection agency or some scam? Very strange.

Also got a call from this number. This is the third one and I have answered the previous 2. I have not spoken to an actual person from this number.

I received an odd phone call from this number I answered and a recording asked me to call the number back for an important matter.  I thought it might be a scam so I googled the number and found this forum.  

I have been receiving calls from 1-877-289-0302 for about a week now, I haven’t returned their calls simply for the reason that if they cant be bothered to have a live person call me I don’t want to deal with them. More than likely they are no scam, just an aggressive collection agency. Also don’t forget if you can make it seven years without talking to them, or paying them anything then the statue of limitations runs out and they are S.O.L you wont owe them anything! Good luck.

This number left a message that involved a racial slur.  It came up as "Unknown Name" on my callere ID.  Does anyone know if there is any legal action that could be taken against these people?

received a call saying I owed money from a comcast bill from a state that I don't live in.  After I asked them what this call was about and what company they were from they hung up on me 2 x's.  

i keep getting calls from this number but they leave a message for someone i dont even know.

Left long recorded message with a menu of options: press 1 to speak to a person, etc.

automated call on important business matter would not tell me who it was and what it was in referance to.

i just got my number a few weeks back and they started calling for jeremy swearin or something and i dont owe anyone anything this is my first apartment and number in my name

ive talked to 2 human beings (if u can consider telemarkers human) calling for the same guy and i told them both to stop calling me. im not sure if they were this number tho i continue to get calls from this number

I've been getting calls from this number for over a month now and I know it's connected with one of my credit cards that I already paid off two years ago! I called the number back and the recording says that the company name is CCS. I believe that they also tracked my mother's telephone number down (my old address) and have been calling her too.

I have been receiving calls from this #, they are leaving me messages to call back but not sure who they are...I think its from comcast collection agency some one use my # to setup an account.

They been calling me way too much.
Four time today, 12:28pm, 11:27am, 10:27am, 9:26am.
Twice on last week
Once week before that.

THey left no messages until the last on I heard a recording with menu of options & questions. This sound very shaddy.

P.S.  I pay all my bills on time.

They are a collection Agency, i got a call about a video i rented a few months back and apparently didn't return.... they seem legit i didn't give them any personal info tho and I'm just going to take it up with the video store

Keeps calling my cell number. doesnt leave message. its rather annoying when they call 4x a day

I got a recorded message saying to call back on an important matter.  When I called back they say I owed money on a comcast bill. I currently have comcast and they have not billed me for this additional money.  I hung up on them and did not give them any additional information, but they knew my name, telephone number and address.  They've called at least 4 additional times in about 2 weeks.

They called twice this week; 5 days apart.  After doing some homework on this site as well as www.whocalled.us I realized that this is a scum sucking collection agency looking to make money off of harassing people with and without outstanding debt.  From both sites, it looks like most of the complaints mention Comcast.  I called Comcast and asked them if (my Dads cable account) was in arrears...which I knew was not the case.  They confirmed that Dad's account was paid in full and that the account was in good standing.  Bottom line here is that there is an abundance of scum-sucking scams and bottom-feeding debt collectors that will break the law, harass anyone for money regardless of circumstances.  btw:  most of the notorius scum-suckers and scammers reside in the U.S.  Thank heaven for caller-id and cease and decist letters.
