I got a letter from them stating "You have chosen to ignore our previous attempts to resolve this matter. You are hereby notified that a recommendation to file a lawsuit to collect this debt may be the next step resulting in a judgment against you. A judgment is a serious legal matter and several methods to collect a judgment are available to us. These methods include: A wage garnishment against you, your spouse, or your domestic partner (if against the spouse or domestic partner a court order is required); Levy on your bank accounts or safe deposit box; Placement of liens on real or personal property and suspension of your real estate, contractor or driver's license under certain circumstances. Any of the methods mention (improper grammar used there) above can be used to enforce a judgment until the total amount owed is paid. Also, you will be required to pay Russo & Russo Financial a 10 % interest on the unpaid balance of this judgment plus any attorney fees, court costs, and processing fees. (Note the improper use of commas as well). Keep in mind, a judgment is valid and enforceable for 10 years and can be renewed for an additional 10-year time period. If you want to avoid any further legal action (what "further?" NO LEGAL ACTION HAS BEEN TAKEN AGAINST ME FOR ANYTHING), you need to contact our office w/in 10 days of this notice; otherwise we will assume you do not intend to pay this debt and litigation will be commenced immediately.

received a litigation note saying I owe19008.17 and checked to see if  it was a real buisness and found out it a scam  like what antoine got on 1-16-13

I received the "Ted Watson" letter today. I verified that I do not owe them a debt by calling the original creditor that "Ted" said I owe money to. This is a scam. Do not give Russo and Russo Financial your money.

My husband got the exact same letter. I checked his credit report and there is nothing from the company "ted" said we had a debt with. There are no negative accounts actually. He knew my husbands SSN too, which is scary. I'm reporting them to the FTC. My husband asked Ted to fax him the information and he said he didn't have a fax machine even though on the letter there is a fax number. This is crazy.

TED WATSON IS A LOW LIFE SCAM ARTIST!!! DON'T GIVE HIM ANY MONEY!!!! I got the same letter and almost agreed to pay, but looked him up and came across this site. I called and confronted him that many people have reported this scam to the FTC, and he got choked up. When I asked him about my rights under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. that should have been included in the letter, he simply replies:

'of course it's at the bottom of the letter stating: THIS COMMUNICATION IS AN ATTEMPT TO COLLECT A DEBT AND ANY INFORMATION OBTAINED WILL BE USED FOR THAT PURPOSE.'

this one sentence is my right? really TED?

I also told him that I'm filing bankruptcy, he basically tried to talk me out of it and told me that I won't be qualified to file a chapter 7 because of my credit score. When I asked him to verify my credit score cuz I know it by heart, he said he can't reveal that information which told me that he was a true scam artist!!!! Get a real job TED!!!

Got the SAME letter from "TED WATSON" a.k.a. FAKE DEBT COLLECTOR. Only he keeps changing his number, today it was (949) 468-5116 LOL.  I googled the "Manhattan Beach, CA" address & it's a POSTAL SERVICE location.

This guy's a JOKE & I've reported him to the FTC.

There are penalties for shilling as well as extortion scamming, bet you didn't think of that when you posted Shill..

Received a call from them from an in state city office(fax machine) stated that they were going to serve me tomorrow and wanted to know if I would be home. I said what are you talking about the man stated that he could not tell me over the phone but would be happy to give me the number of who filed the complaint. (REALLY). Can you guess the number yep your right good ole Russo and Russo 1-877-289-7576. Now that is some low life scamming right there.

I like to have fun with them. Since they have a toll free number, they have to pay every time it rings. So I make sure it rings often. :)

got a letter from russo &russo   when i called the # 877-289-7576  they answered the phone just hello. At 7pm at night.  

Got a letter like Antoine. I called and asked who he was. He told me Russo & Russo Financial. I asked " so you buy debt and try to collect" "Yes" I hang up. Original owner of debt is the only one that can collect in this manner.
