Okay R tards I'm going to explain this once and for all.

1) We are calling for someone who owes money
maybe its not you, maybe it is, but either way
YOUR NUMBER WAS GIVEN TO US TO CONTACT THAT PERSON

2) If it isnt you, then we ask 5 simpleass questions
do you know the person, have you had ur number a
long time? how long? and to verify the PROPER
number becaus there are times that we get
crossed lines. So we will say the number we reached
and you just have to say 'yes' or 'no the number
is', and im sorry for this but we have to ask
for a first name just so we know that we spoke with
someone legit, and if who ever we are looking for
calls and says' why didnt you try to contact me?'
we have the notes to say taht we have.

3) the reason why we ask all those questions is
because it is mandetory from us, we have a section
called 'quality assurance' they record the phone
calls and grade us on if we asked the questions
or how well we were talking to people, or if
we responded correctly. Its lame I know.

4) Now in u.s.a. most of you facktards have more than
8 credit cards, so in most cases, if they are in
debt in one, they are definatly in debt in the
others. So heres the biggest problem. When we call
out we reach a tower in texas which changes our
outbound number, but we arent the only company
to do so, I know there are other banks that use
the same tower. So it shows up as the same number
but its not us. Thats where we experience the most
problems, because after the 4th call for the same
person who doesnt live there, the people who answer
get angry and they start yelling at us. 'WHY DIDNT
YOU REMOVE THIS NUMBER LIKE YOU SAID' then they
hang up. BIG MISTAKE. WE MUST VERIFY THE NUMBER TO
REMOVE IT. MUST BEING KEY! so if you fackers hang
up then we have to call back untill we verify it.
Thats where most of you fack up and just keep
hanging up. Its rude and we are usualy very nice
people on the phone, thers a rare some that sound
mean but for the most part we are all very nice
  on the phones.

5) Another problem we have is that we have about 6
different campains to call in. One is for the
west side, one is for the east, central, in bound
you know how it goes, the reason for that being
that we legaly cannot call untill 8 am and we must
stop calls at 10 or 11 pm. So when you say 'you're
calling me at 4 am' no no sweety, that will never
EVER happen, because our offices are closed at
11pm. Now! We do infact get in to work at 6 or 7 am
but thats only because when its 6 here its 8 in
newyork, so we can start calling bright and early.
Our dialer legally knows when it can or cannot
  call.

6) This is the lame part, when we remove a number it
does take some time b4 it actualy gets removed from
the system, so sometimes our dialer messes up and
dont tell me that there is a flawless program out
there that has no glitches! Yes we have glitches
yes we do appologize and we attempt to remove the
number. we tell our managers who then have to deal
with it. So again we apologise for this.

7) We work at a piece of sh*t job because there are
times where good places dont hire. So our job
sucks as it is, please attempt to not be rude to
the people on the other side of the phone because
WE PHYSICALY DID NOT DO ANYTHING WRONG! The company
maybe, the person in debt most definatly, but not
the reps over the phone. And you make our lives
hell when you call us sl*ts, c*nts, f*ck faces,
  pieces of sh*t, b*tch, dirty f*cking wh*res, sh!t
eating sh!t hound, or when you sexualy harrass
us over the phone..or my personal favorit, when you
FOG HORN US. Lifes not fair, thats true if it were
NO ONE woudl be working at gc, and I hope to god
every one of them finds a new job.  We are GREAT
people that YOU would probably get along with well
but you chose to make things harder for us.
When we get treated with respect over teh phone
we do all thats possible to help out that person
but if you yell at us, piss us off ( and trust me
if we could yell back oh we facking would) or
hang up on us WHILE WE ARE TRYING TO HELP YOU BY
SAYING WE NEED TO REMOVE THE NUMBER BY VERIFYING
IT, thats when we dont facking give a sh!t, and
we can schedual a call back for 8 in the morning.

So to conclude this, be nice, and we will help out
sorry if our systems suck and we call back muh bad
the people arent the ones to blame, its the fack
who gave us the number who is in collections.
So quit facking b*tching and follow my advice
it'll work trust me.

When you call my house with that mess you get what I choose to dish out!  Like it or not.  You called me, I did not wrongly call you and do not have to be nice!  Just stop calling when you are told that you have the wrong number.  Sometimes those people you are looking for give them out on purpose!

You aught to be ashamed of the way you converse.  I have no simpathy for you.  You can't even use decent English. If your company is so negligent about customers (or your) requests, why don't you all quit, or petition the bosses to hear your complaints.  I have been the the quality assurance industry for 25 years, and with your attitude and your companies responses, you certainly wouldn't be doing any business for my company.

When I get these calls, they don't leave a message, no one speaks when I say hello.  Don't blame us because you have a crap job.  Plenty of us do, and we don't blame the customer.  If you don't like your job get another, or get some training for another.  There are plenty of training schools that you can get student loans for.

Your post is absolutely ridiculous. Not isolated to the remarks surrounding your "job requirements", moreover, your vulgor expression in reply to the others, who expressed no personal threat or digradation towards you personally.
Moreover, if you want to call names and point fingers, start by examining yourself.
We all have to deal with some of the unsatisfactories of this life, however, name calling and rudeness are not justified.
Is your credit perfect? Are you as rude on your collection calls as you are here, on this forum? How's your integrity? Where is your character, yet to be developed?
Again, examine yourself. Look at you, in the mirror, and don't walk away without fixing yourself up a little. Extend to others the same mercies you desire.
You can be helpful without being rude and obnoctiously seeking respect though what you hoped would be a condescending reply to those who don't understand the call center's order of operations.
Grow a little daily, respect yourself 1st love yourself daily, and let go of your insecurites that are hidden in your anger.

I am sorry you had to take such a sorry job.   Life is hard and if you take a job like that, expect what you get.

I don't like people to wake me.    I don't like being disabled and having pains and cancer.

I don't like the economy, and I don't like being poor.

However, I do not owe any money to anyone, and I must suffer from YOUR JOB and YOUR CALLS.

When I die, and it won't be long.    I will finally get some rest from the annoying calls that this other woman left that I can not even pronounce her name.

I don't answer the phone half the time, and I am not going to start answering the phone.

You might as well except the fact that people are NOT going to tell you if they are the person you are looking for or not.   It is a cruel world.  If you choose this job, then you deserve to get what you dish out.

Again, my cancer is moving fast, and I won't have to be bothered with all this stuff where I am going.

And I will be going DEBT FREE, as I am now.

Repeated phone calls to place of employment after being asked not to by office manager, business owner & myself.  They were also advised I am not allowed to get personal phone calls at work & if this continues my employment could be at risk, still the calls continue all day long.  Also repeated calls to private cell phone number 7 days a week all hours or day & evening.  The phone number is 877-290-8894, today it was Ross who left a message at 8:15 am at my place of employment.

Apparently they feel they don't need to leave a message but they call multiple times a day. Well guess what, we don't answer that phone unless we know who it is, so try leaving a damn message and maybe I'll call back.

Update: I called it back and got the company who is calling on behalf of Capitol One. Anyhow they said my number isn't in the system anymore which is hilarious seeing as they called me just an hour ago. Anyhow she says next time to go ahead and answer it and just verify the number and tell them they have the wrong person and they'll remove me from the list. I know two debt collection agencies were calling for someone who had my number previously so this is probably why this is happening.

the idiot that gave a long explanation does not work for capitol one.  I DO have a cap1 business card, with a zero balance, had it for five years, never late.  have a 750 credit rating, and owe no one money.  i get three calls per day from this number and when I answer, the caller rapidly hangs up.  I called it back and it is capitol one and I gave them the number they called.  The rep said they dont have that number in their system and I am not getting calls.  I told them that I called them right now by hitting redial.  She said she would remove the number and it could take two days.  Sounds like bullshit to me.  I am making a complaint to the Federal Trade Commission, as I believe you should too.  In addition to AT&T for abuse.

Been getting numerous calls from 800-430-5262 (800 Service) and 909-297-7333 (Citi RL)and now it appears this one has joined the crowd. We are never home when they call so it does not really matter... but I have a feeling they are looking for the owner of the condo (we are renting). No message was left today. The call came in at 1:13pm 5/8/08. Will post every or every couple of times these guys call too to keep tabs on it. Just like I am doing with that other 800 number.

A woman called our telephone number at home and asked for a "Sharp".
My husband answered the telephone and said there was no one here by that name. Then the person wanted to know who she was speaking to, and my husband said that he wasn't in the habit of giving out his name to strangers on the telephone. This answer of course did not please her. She said - that she had to write down the answer she was given, so she needed his name. He said - well if you need to write down what the person on the telephone said to you, then I suggest you write down that I am not Sharp, and that I would not give you my correct name. She said O.K., did not sound happy and hung up the phone. What total idiots - wish they would leave us alone on Mothers' Day.
