Charter use to call me about once a month to try to get me to agree to adding 2 years to my contract. I have always been nice and explained this address is not perminent for me but they continued to call. So I answered the phone with the greeting from my workplace. It allowed me to get off the phone with no problem and I didn't have to be rude. They haven't called back since.

Just got another call from this number 2:05pm EST, they called me yesterday too.  Did not answer as I don't typically answer calls from numbers I do not recognize, especially those that start with 877.  Anyhoo, after reading the other comments I'm assuming it's Charter.

Just got a call today, December 16, 2009... Charter communications.

This number is charter cable trying to sign you up for a package deal.

I received a call from this number. I think the ironic thing is that right in the middle of these reports is an ad by google about Charter. Did Charter pay to put an ad here?

Constantly getting calls from 877-313-3780.  Wish there was a way to charge them for the calls.   Person

We have been constantly getting calls from Charter trying to sign us up for some deal.  Told them we didn't want it and not to call, but still constantly getting calls.  Wish I could charge THEM for each phone call.

I've been getting calls from this number several times a day for the past few days, but they never leave a message and I haven't answered. geez!

2 sometimes 3 times a day...it is just ridiculous!!!!

Got one of ongoing calls this morning  A young male voice wanted to play the "hello" game, i.e., the phone is answered and the caller, instead of responding, starts with "hello".  I had already answered the call with, "good morning"; is he deaf?  Now I know to ignore the call when the caller ID indicates a call from Charter.  Are you sure this is what you are marketing, Charter?

This number calls my house EVERYDAY sometimes 2 or 3 times a day! So much for the "Do Not Call List" we are on.

I get about two calls a day from this number.  Most of the time there is only silence on the other line when I pick up (I usually give them about 3-4 seconds and then just hang up).  I currently have Charter for my cable internet, so that wouldn't be a surprise to me if it is them.  

During the one call that wasn't just silence, a lady attempted to play the "hello game" that Carolyn Baucom above mentioned.  When she kept saying "hello?" after I had already said hello a couple of times I just hung up and figured they were either dumb or my phone wasn't working.  Regardless of which one it was, I didn't feel it necessary to stay on the phone any longer.

I dropped my cable service and switched to satellite because Charter kept jacking up their prices and their internet service rarely worked.  Now they call a dozen times a week trying to get me to sign up for one of their promotions.  And this is after they refused to accept my payment (30 days after I turned off the service) and turned me over to a collection agency!

"Jeremy" from Charter Communications 12:21 PM 5/11/2010.  I informed him that I have contacted the Charter webpage and requested not to be contacted anymore.

We have received calls from this number multiple times each day for a number of weeks now. If the call is answered, no one is there. If our voicemail picks up, a message is not left. I have even tried to call this number back to determine who it is and why they continue to call us, no answer there either. I assume from other's statements about this same number that it is Charter.

Charter has not gotten the hint. After researching the number, I went ahead and asked Charter to stop calling my number, but they still haven't gotten the message.

I have been harassed by this number!
