This number is unknown to us and has called our line 4 or 5 times in the past couple of days

Unknown number called several times over past couple of weeks

I'm in Canada. The company name is blocked. they call every day, at least 3 times. I got fed up and answered today. They asked to speak to Mr or Mrs Paul, ( not our last name, it's my husband's first name). Could not  make out the name of the company but said they were calling about a long distance telephone plan with CARP, also free CARP membership for 4 or 5 years and free Zoomer Magazine. We're on the Cdn Do Not Call Registry but if you have a relationship with a company - bank, charity or whatever then they can contact you. The woman was nice , talked very fast as telemarketers often do . When I said I wasn't interested she was pleasant  and did not put the pressure. Usually they get worked up and really try to dig in. Hopefully the calls will now stop!!

This number calls up to 3 times a day.  No one says anything.  No company name.

CARP - Canadian Association for Retired Persons.  Calling to offer (sell?) a membership.  Call is legit, see website here: http://www.carp.ca/

They do seem to call a lot, though.

just got a call from this number  the guy didnt get the names right    spoke fast  
if they call you  and get the name wrong , just say  theres no one here by that name.

I block all phone calls such as this one.  I have a Panasonic portable.  I imagine that you can block numbers with any phone.  Every number that comes to my phone is verified.

This number calls and no one says anything and then they hang up so I blocked the number

if you call these ppl back, the automated system gives you the option to remove your number from their calling list :)

Third call this morning while I'm working from home.  10:20am.  Twice now someone has been on the line, and hung up.  I call back and hear it's about EMS Long Distance.  Is there a *69 type of number to be able to block the number?  I don't know if I can do that with my phones...  hmm - will look in the options.

They call me 3 times per day . I know who they are so I don't answer the phone, but they still bother me everyday. What can I do??

They called my house recently too.  I never pick up 800 numbers so I didn't answer when they first called.  However I just called their number back and if you listen to the automated message all the way through there is an option to be removed from their call list.  I just used it so we will see if it actually works.

Same thing has been happening to me & I did call the number & removed my tel number from their list.
I ALSO  called CARP National Office 1 - 888-363-2279 Pressed 0 to get a live person & complained.

I believe if enough people call them they will have to STOP using this telemarketer (EMS)

Answer it and speak in another language even if you make one up
That wil keep them stumbling

Received a call from this number Friday evening, there was no one at the other end.

Tell them not call me again take my name from their mailing list.  I am tired of this numbers

1-877-316-0372 is owned by bully spamming callers.

This number called just b4 3PM today April 19,2014 Did not answer as marked as caller unknown - number not know to me.

May 9/14 - had several calls from this number - never answer unless identified or I know the number plus do not take calls from 800 numbers
