- Tony| 2 repliesI was just looking through my call history and noticed this number. Who is it?
- JimO| 5 repliesThey called my mobile for my college son today (July 30), identified themselves as some sort of "C - Medical Center", and said he had to call them right away. They probably got his number when he registered my number as a student at UT Austin, and are just trolling for suckers.
- TommyVoice-message left Tues 31 July 2007: Said to hold on. Did. After 2 minutes, said receptionists were busy, please call back. That call I didn't get the caller number.
Message left on voice-mail today Aug. 1. When tried to listen, it said "press 1" -- which my
mail system recognizes as something else, so didn't get anywhere. - confused replies to JimO| 2 repliesc-medical center made me think of seton medical center. i have been a patient there once. i vaguely remembered hearing about a laptop being stolen so i did an internet search. a laptop was stolen from seton medical center in austin in feb. 2007. this could be some kind of scam from that incident.
- confused replies to confusedapparently the laptop had all kinds of patient info on it.
- JimO| 4 repliesI called Seton Medical Center (512-324-1000) and talked with operator Adrianna, who tried the 877 number and found it did not work. She then checked with billing (talked with "Mark"), and they confirmed that they HAD called my son John and left a voicemail, and were waiting to hear back, about a legitimate bill. You can call Seton billing directly at 512-324-1125 and talk with anyone there about whether THEY are originating these calls.
But I'm less worried it's a stolen-laptop scam, now.

- sdwebguyIt is a debt collector. They have been calling my cell number looking for someone else. So even though I tell them over and over they have the wrong number, they assume Im lying. So they keep calling.

- RedMomI got a call from the same number and they wanted to speak to my husband whose name is on the account for our son's stay at Seton Children's Hospital in Austin. I told them I already called the hospital to make payment arrangements and he said that didn't matter and that he couldn't discuss it with me because my name isn't listed on the account. I told him that my husband is very busy at work and that it's pointless for him to call since I already took care of the situation. He said he didn't care. I hung up on him and called Seton directly.
The lady at Seton verified that it was indeed an outside agency that is contracted with them. She saw in their system that I had already taken care of arranging payment and that she would e-mail them ASAP to stop the collections.- Caller: Contracted collections co

- UTMom8:50 p.m. on a Tuesday night; caller asked for my daughter, who is at UT student. She had been at an Austin hospital, and everything was supposed to be covered 100% for ER visits. We are working it out with insurance. The guy was RUDE, and said he was calling representing Breckenridge. I asked for his name and number and he wouldn't give it, stating, "Would you let me follow the law?" Seven times he said this as I tried to explain to him my husband and I carried her on our insurance and I take care of the insurance matters. He said, "I am not talking to you. I want to talk to your daughter. Let me follow the law." I said, If you know the law so well, then you'd provide me a legitimate call back number, your supervisor, your name, and let me explain how the bill is being worked out WITH THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT since it is MILITARY insurance. At that point he hung up. If Breckenridge hired this jerk, or even contracted him out, they need to fire him.

- d| 1 replyIt's collections for Seton Medical Center looking for people who have had services provided to them, been billed and have not paid or contacted them.
- Just what I have seen replies to dActually, they seem to still call people who have made payment arrangements with Seton and are actively paying them on a monthly schedule.
I can understand pestering people who aren't paying, but maybe they should lay off the people who are. Just IMHO. - I have received calls from this number replies to JimO| 2 repliesI have received calls from this number. Usually a guy. Once a girl the same day he called. They say they are from Seton Hospital. I told her I had already gotten a call from this guy earlier in the day, and is it customary for them to call people more than once in a day, and how often they make the calls when you have already spoken to them? She told me they are from a call center, making calls for Seton regarding bill payments, but they are not supposed to call twice the same day. I told her I hoped not, because it could appear to be harassment. I do have some bills from Seton Hospital. I told them I had to pay them out over time, because of other medical bills I also have and other personal circumstances. They accepted this, and the guy offered to see if they could get me some aide but it would take about 3 months. These people also don't identify themselves on the caller ID - just the phone number. When they call it either says Unknown, or TOG. They told me I would not be receiving statements, but gave me an address and to just mail the payments in. I have mailed some in already with the original statement, but they tell me the hospital won't be sending anymore, and to just send in the payments at the address they have given...Again, now I think I may just go to the hospital and pay in person. I'm not sure if this is real or a scam after reading a lot of comments here.

- TressieThis call was from Seton Medical systems in regards to a copay portion of Insurance that was her Fathers responsibility, I told them I had applied about a month and a half ago for assistance, the gentleman that had called me prior had told me he gathered all the information to turn in an application. Now nothing is on file *big surprise!!* so they will send another application for assistance with these bills. The lady that helped me gave me her name as Shericka at ext 2268 and that I could call the 877 number and ask for ext and she would do anything she could to help me. Maybe if anyone is having a very very difficult time, they could call and ask for her ext, she seemed genuine and helpful!

- X replies to JimOThanks for the Seton direct number. I'll be using this to pay my bill instead of the rude collectors.
- David Blaine FullertonYes, they keep calling one of my business numbers. They call in an automated fashion and say that it is an "URGENT MESSAGE". But, you call back, and it is a waste of time. They are a debt collection agency, but I have no debts. So, they can leave me the HELL ALONE.

- fbReceived 3 calls in the last 3 days. No reference to what the call is about. Each time the same message was left in a computerized voice: "Hello I'm calling about important personal business. Press 0 to speak to a representative
I pressed 0. An automated voice prompted me to leave a message.
