this is the NRA plus the numbers 866-626-4350,,866-625-7637,877-318-1086 they call and hang up when you get the jist of how they operate and hang up on them first, they call you from a different number.  I called and requested to be taken off the list we will see what happens

Thank you kindly.  I love the NRA but I really wish they would not call my work number.  They said they would stop calling, but after a year of no calls they have been calling again, one or two times a day, for over a year.  They have rotated among about 10 numbers.   I have blocked the other numbers, but this was a new one I hadn't recognized.

I'm also a member of the NRA, so why they continue to call me up to 4 times a day from a hundred different phone numbers is beyond me.  So far (in a 3 week time frame) I've received daily calls from the following #'s:

I think this is a bit "overkill" if you ask me.... enough is enough!!

I am a Life Member of the NRA, still if they don't identify themselves they will never get me to answer my phone.  I know what they want, MONEY!  That's why I became a life member years ago so I wouldn't have to put out money to re-join every year.  I guess they think just because you are a life member, you are loaded!

My husband is a life member too but they call her all the time and they alway asking for money all the time. I wish they would stop calling here all the time. The last timethey call I told them is stop call and asking for money and my answer to them is a Big fat NO. But they keep calling, and I let just ring.

I have calls from all the numbers that you listed at least 2 times every day starting from 8AM till 9PM. I have to clear my caller ID every night and the following day the vicious cycle begins all over again. Don't these people have better things to do especially if no one answers?! Is that were membership dues go to hassle members?!

my husband is a member and we have been harrased non stop for months with calls - i answered one that came up as NRA on the caller ID and told them to stop calling as my husband and I were very upset about their endorsement of Harry Reid a few months ago and we were not sending them any more money - after a quiet week - they are back - sev times a day

I'm getting calls from NRA also from the 877-318-1086 and 866-463-3867 numbers. Geez, enough already!

I've been a member for several years. A few weeks ago, after hearing a news item, I called them to make a donation because I am of the opinion they are actively fighting for my convictions.  A few posts above this one, Cotik asks if this is where our donations go, i.e. to pay for telemarketers.  I've got to wonder though, they pay for and ship some nice gifts to donors.  They sent out a razor sharp pocket knife which will probably get me landed in jail on the way to church.  With the ever growing list of numbers on the Do Not Call list(s), we all hate to see the NRA get a black eye.  But it doesn't appear they have any regard for the people who really do support them other than to think we are their ATM machine.  I wish they and a few other organizations had billions to support constitutional law. I do what I can when I can.  That's what good Americans do.  But here's the thing you can be sure of.  It's a numbers game and as long as they garner enough donations with their telemarketers, they'll not alter the operation.  And as much as I don't like them endlessly ringing my phone, I'm glad they're getting donations.  They wouldn't be doing this if it were not productive.  Sleezy?  Yeah.  But with today's economy, people aren't going to think very often of agencies like the NRA that exist to fight for or causes and convictions.  I just let the phone ring and when I have a hundred bucks to share, I give them a ring.

Got ANOTHER call from 877-318-1086. I normally don't pick up if it's a toll free number, but this time I decided to take another approach. When the caller asked for my husband, I asked who was calling and she said she was from the NRA. When I told her we were on the Do Not Call list, she told me they were an exception because my husdand was a member. I told her to stop the calls and she told me I could call their legal department. I informed her that the problem was originating from HER end and I didn't care who SHE had to talk to or what SHE had to do but SHE better get the calls stopped today! She said she'd take care of it. Guess time will tell if all the different numbers they use get the same message.

We're Not members of NRA, never have been-never will be members, so why the he!! Do they keep calling several times a day!? Everyday!? For over a year now!? We are on the Do Not Call list.

I get calls all the time from the NRA. I have been a Life Member since the early 1980's and have donated many times. However, these telemarketers do not quit, and belive me you can't insult them. I have finally put a call blocker in place to stop the calls.

Have been a life member of NRA since 1956.  I support them, but I will not respond to phone calls that conceal true ID.  My response is, pick up and hang up.

This isn't the National Rifle Association. It's National Recovery Associates. A debt collector. Either you owe someone money, or they think you do. Don't blame the one's that are protecting your gun rights, these bottom feeders want money. Just don't answer the phone.

Likely a 'fund raising' company who is raising money for the NRA, AND... gets a percent of the collected monies. I get one or mre calls from them every day PLUS a dozen others from "anonymous / private caller". It rings 5 times, goes to voice mail. They hang up as soon as the "voice" answers.

This is the National Rifle Association. Call the number if you think I'm wrong.I have been a member in the past so their call to me is legal under the Do Not Call registry rules. They are registered Non-profit, but NOT CHARITABLE and so do not qualify for the charity exemption. You must be a member or a former member for them to be able to legally call you if your number is registered. Any good organization will remove you from their call list if you ask. NRA has been a good organization, but their fund raising mailings (which I called and told them to quit sending, they did) and calls get to be annoying.
