I don't have an account with Sooper CU either. - EY| 2 repliesReceived a Text message on my cell, as above, re: restriction on my account with Sooper C.U.,,, I don't have an account with them, but DO conduct some of my C.U. business with them. Am going to Sooper CU and show the local branch manager the message, and see what they advise. At least let them know that such is happening, and they need to inform their clients and customers to be aware of this phish text messaging.

- anonymous| 1 replySame texts to my cell phone twice, 3/13 and today. I don't have an account at Sooper CU. When I called the number after the first text, I got a recording asking me to put in my credit card number. I waited for an operator to come on but one never did. Very suspicious.

- najNo account at Sooper CU. Called # on cell and was told number had been disconnected. Strange!
- Caller: Sooper CU
- TomI received this text message twice now. I thought it was some kind of scam as I don't give my cell number to "accounts". I thought I would call sprint, my carrier, after the first tm that I received yesterday, but I forgot. After the second tm, from 3033768533@sooper.org just a few minutes ago, I googled sooper.org and found this site. I don't see a 877-320-5602 number. This tm instructs me to call 303-552-9838.

- Agusia| 2 repliesReceived a text on my cell "SooperC.U. Please call us immediately at 1 877 320 5602 regarding recent restricion placed on you account. Thank you". I was confused, so I called the number and the recording asked me to put my 16 digits of my credit card number (I've put 0 ) then the expiration date (I put 0)and then the pin. After I've put just 0# three times, the recording said that it didn't recognized my number and didn't connect me with anybody. Few days later (3/16/09) I've received another text on my phone, from 3033899850@sooper.org saying "SooperCU locked your account/card. Please contact us immediately at 3035539838". I've called and it was again a recording asking me my account number. I hang up. Sounds like a fraud.

(they could have at least tried to scam me at a decent hour of the day) - Annoyed replies to woke me up in the middle of the nightI just received at text from 3601 saying Sooper CU locked my card and to call them immediately at 303-552-9838. When I called the number it sounded really choppy and had a lot of static on the line. It's a SCAM! I called the real Sooper CU and they said it's a scam. DON'T FALL FOR IT!
- VashGot the same text. But seriously guys. It's obvious, when was the last time a bank or credit union, or any financial institution sends you a text message? NEVER! If you ever get a text message over anything like that, ignore it.
- GooseI also received the same text canceling a card I do not have. Didn't call the number because it's so obvious that it's some jerk phishing for private info. Typical, economy goes south and scammers ramp up their activity.
