It is US Directory Services.  If you are a small business owner and have recently subscribed to free business listings on the internet, they will call you.  I am not sure who they are originally tied to ... I thought it was Yellow Pages.  I have only posted on a few sites, but it is definitely due to listing a small business online with a phone number.

Interesting!!!  Because of your information, we can narrow it down to two. - Super pages and Hot frog, both of which I just made a new listing for last night.

It's Debra.  I just posted an updated business listing, and I believe you and the others guessed it.  It is SuperPages listing which has prompted this.  I've asked them several times to put me on their do not call list for further solicitation.  If they keep it up, I will have to call my cell phone company and put a block on their number. You can do that free for 90 days at a time usually.  But these people are sneaky, they have 2 other numbers they call from.  I save them all to my phone book to keep track of them and have a history if I need to report them.

I posted a premium add with backpage.com and got a call the following day. I hung up on the guy, mainly because I did not have the time these marketeers typically take. He called right back. Then I informed him I was on a do not call list and told him not to call again. So far no more calls

Interesting.  I was actually filling out the information for Hot Frog when I was getting slammed with their calls.  [***].

As I was completing info for HotFrog for SEO work for my home based business, I got SEVEN calls in a row from their call center, under three different numbers.  The common thread is that people have concluded it came from completing info with small weblistings like HotFrog. Since it's my home phone number, I reported them to the Do Not Call list since my number is registered there.

It's extremely aggressive to call me WHILE I'm actually on the website completing the info.  Desperation is pathetic.

Has been calling everyday to update our "free" business listing. I say nothing and hang up.

Been getting the same treatment have hung up right away after hearing internet yellow pages. called almost everyday for three weeks.  Today I stayed on the call to ask how to rid myself of them I verified my info like I do for a number of free professional publication but the the hook came.  I would receive verification of this information and also a free trial to and online data storage service.  This is the real reason for the call this stops being free very soon and then is billed every month. If you company does not have good communication and cost controls in place then the people who pay the bills may assume this is legit and not question it and pay it every month.  I told the foreign sounding young man today that the attorney general of the state of Texas is authorized to fine companies $5000.00 per offense of calling and harrassing a buisness after they have been told not to.  I then asked him if he wanted to be responsible for costing his company $5000.00.  He said he could remove my number from the list I thanked him and we shall see.

If it had been truly important, they would've spoken clear English, and left all the info for their brick-and-mortar address location.

These scumbags that hide behind a PC, work in the cloak of darkess are mindless scum preying upon unsuspecting people.

We take all long distance calls, dirtbags of this ilk, and other unknown numbers and automatically dump them into voice jail. Anyone who doesn't think himself worthy, won't leave a message anyway.

Those calls are then programmed into our phone switch to provide a busy-out signal.

MANTA website - only site i've been on

it is Manta, thats the only company I've listed with as I just opened and I received calls from 3 different numbers

Yep, MANTA, you guessed it. JUST updated my website on Vistaprint then headed to MANTA to update something and got 2 calls back to back, but I'm certain it's MANTA.

If you have a directory listing on MANTA, you'll get non-stop calls. I just hung up and also ignored, but I'm sure that's not the end of it. They're relentless.

Ha! They just called for the 3rd time. I picked it up and firmly said, "I NEED TO BE PUT ON THE DO NOT...." and before I could finish the jerk HUNG UP ON ME!!! real professional.

I am receiving daily phone calls from this number, i have asked multiple times for them to stop calling, i have told them it is harassment and today i was called a "b" word when i told them to leave me alone. they never state their name only that they want to talk to the owner in charge of marketing.
