This is a collection company for Synchrony Bank (formerly GE Credit) in reference to a CareCredit account.  They will do everything they can to get you to pay the past due amount but if you speak with them and explain what is going on, they will try to work with you as far as setting up a 6 month repayment plan.  Be prepared for them to continue to call as it is their job as a collection agency.  However, I have found that if you allow them to work with you, the number of calls dramatically reduces, thereby reducing your headaches and stress of dodging calls.  As much as I despise Synchrony for what they have done with our other accounts (closing the Sams and Lowes accounts for being past due though not any more past due than this one), they seem to be willing to work with us on keeping this one open so I am doing everything I can to make sure that happens.  With the rising costs of health care and dental expenses, this is one card I truly need to keep open.  Work with them.

Actually, I don't but I do owe CareCredit money.  I do the best I can to pay my bills.  My chief complaint now with them is that when you set up a payment arrangement, they are supposed to send you a notification in the mail at least a week in advance to let you know of the upcoming payment.  That way, if you see there is going to be a problem with funds availability, you can modify the payment arrangement date.  So far, this has not happened and I have received notifications either the day it processes or up to five days later (and this seemed to coincide with the same day I received notification from my bank of an NSF fee because I forgot I had set up the arrangement).  It was my fault for not putting reminders on my own calendar but when you are already so far behind, NSF fees from the bank really add up.  All of this to say, FORGET what I wrote above about working with them.  If you do indeed owe the money, work with Synchrony directly as Allied Interstate (as well as GC Services - another collection agency for Synchrony) will screw you over by not fulfilling their end of the arrangement by sending you reminders of the upcoming payment and if you are already barely living hand to mouth, those overdraft fees could go a long way in feeding your children or even repaying what you owe.
