- Jim B.Same here. They called my boss. This is ridiculas. I believe their breaking the fair debt collections act. I will report them to the federal trade commision. They cannot claim they are part of a government fraud investigation! This is defamation of character.

- Jim B.So I called them and they are totally fraudulent. When they answer the phone they just say hello and nothing else. I informed this Ms. Segal that they are breaking the fair debt collection act and are breaking the law leaving a message with my boss saying I'm part of a governmental fraud investigation and I will report them to the federal trade commision. She then tells me their not a collection agency and transfers me to some guy who answers "hello" and says nothing else. I ask him why they are calling me and he says he doesn't know but was told just to setup a court date. What a joke. Then he yells to somebody to fire that girl who transferred the call because she didn't give him the information on my case, Then he claims I broke the law by bouncing a check to a TIOR capital. I tell hIm I never wrote a check to a TIOR capital. Then he says it was an online transaction. I ask him if this is some sort of online payday loan and he says no. I tell him if it is I don't remember and that a payday loan is not the same as a bounced check when it defaults it is a debt by contract. Anyway I told him I have a recording of the message he left my boss and never to call my place of employment again. I also threatened to sue them. Unbelievable all the laws these debt collectors break no wonder their always getting sued.

- Jimmy T. replies to carlsoI just got this message too on my voicemail. How do you report them to the State Attorney General for falsely identifying themselves as a Federal Organization?
- Marine G.all my family members are receiving calls from this (Federal investigation Process Agent) claiming to be. The man is apparently looking for my 2nd ex- husband, whom I divorced over 11 yrs ago. These people are calling my 1st husband, my grown children, and so on. I will report them as well.

- Sigrid S.These fools are calling me as well, at work. "Sherry Lynn" trying to tell me that I'm being investigated for fraud by US Bank, for a "bounced check" I supposedly did online for a payday loan. She has called several times and even tried to get my boss to transfer her to HR. I WORK for US Bank so wouldn't I know if I had something like that going on?? The more times she calls and leaves messages, the more fake it sounds. This last one, she mispronounced my name, she said "this is not a collection call" and wants to "work out something with me on a voluntary basis" before it goes to my county, which she also very badly mispronounced. I reported her to the FTC and to the security headquarters of US Bank. I know it's a scam and I would recommend not speaking with them because they are trying to get enough information from you to rob you. I don't know just how much of my information she has, and I wouldn't want to inadvertently give permission to debit my bank account. I've read up on a lot of these types of scams over the past couple of years, and it's very obvious to me. I'm just angry that my information was leaked. I have gotten online payday loans in the past, but I thought they were trustworthy companies. Apparently not. And, I *think* I would know if I bounced a check. Dummies.

He is trying to fix a bank account with bounced checks. I call them back tell them there is no such person at this number and to remove my number. I asked him how he got my number he says he doesn't know. I told them to stop harassing me or I will call a lawyer. I asked for a supervisor he hangs up on me. I call back he then threatens to press charges against me lol...what a joke. He calls me first now he wants to file a complaint against me. Let's see who will win when I file a complaint to BBB, Attorney general and whoever I need to contact.

- LadyI also received a call from this number with a message from Sherry Lynn. The Phone ID said it was federal recover. I tried to return the call and the response did not sound like a proper business response. I became suspicious. Where do you report fraudulent calls claiming to be a federal agency?

- gottcha| 1 replyI called the Bureau Consumer Credit Protection in my state and told them about this phone call from John Markenson and how he from the "Federal Processing Services". The BCCP told me there no federal angency called the "Federal Processing Services". Other info he gave me is that these online banks are working against the law. So i called John back asked him a few questions, he spoke to my dad and told my dad and told him all kinds of stuff, I informed John that was against the law and told him he had no clue if he was talking to my dad or not. I also caught him in a few lies that I called him out on and thats when John started raising his voice and said he never heard of the Bureau Consumer Credit Protection. Just funny how John Markenson was all calm and cool at first tell I called him out then he got all mad in the face and yelling like a little kid and making threats, hows that respenting the Federal goverment.
